Yeah, it's something strange. Talked to my dad. He never experienced itch. I'm balding too and my crown sometimes is itching like a hell.

I lost massive at the corners and felt nothing

It even took me awhile to realize bc i wear kinda middle long and hair and didnt use to check my hairline back then

This is reality for a lot of people..they go from norwood 1 to 3 without even noticing much

I dunno, maybe there is a mental factor. I started to lose hair on April last year and felt pretty much well (except shedding), and in mid-July, I realized that I'm losing hair, after that, I started to notice periodical itch. Also, I have a little inflammation of my crown.

Scalp itch can have several reasons. Anxiety, dry scalp, use of products, weather etc. I think its rarely connected to male pattern baldness.

I never used to itch at all, had really slow hair loss too. Then I start finasteride and I start to itch like crazy and hair loss kicks into overdrive! Was on it for a year. I've stopped over a month now and still itch, and since then my hair loss has been going even faster.
f*** my life.

I kinda felt a sort of pain/pressure on the temples when i was receding there, never paid much attention. Until i started to thin on the crown, i noticed it cause my vertex are would be burning all day long, i took finasteride for the first time and the itch has gone... Seriously

in the last 6 months i had severe scalp itching that was driving me insane , even went to a derm to get checked again but nothing helped
about a month ago i switched topical minoxidil to oral minoxidil and pretty much completely dropped nizoral for t-gel,
the itch is not completely gone but i would say it is almost unnoticed for me in comparison to the itch i was suffering from the previous months before the switch , i don't know though which of the products was responsible for it as i switched the two of them simultaneously.
just thought some of you might appreciate this information.
