in my whole life
the scariest thing i have ever watched was this documentary of chernobyl incident nuclear power failure and people walking around pulling off their hair very gently and it all comes out. that was the scariest thing to me.

yesterday
9pm i went heavy intensity shoulder press and shoulder fly
9.30pm ate my dinner
11pm went for a 12 mins run (have to say i did press on hard)
11.15pm (exactly aka body not cool down yet) while still sweating , i didnt want to dry the sweat, cause my hair's greasy, so i went to bath n shampoo immediately.

and the most scary thing in my whole life happen, i just find myself having TONS AND TONS AND TONS OF HAIR JUST DROPPING OFF. it has never happened before,

freaking scary
i dont think ill just walk into the shower next time without cooling down (body heat).

nothing to do with showering or hot body/cold body. Androgenic Alopecia is not caused by external factors..this is due to your testosterone levels going up a lot after heavy weightlifting.

As you age, your hairloss becomes more aggressive, meaning that your hair follicles become a lot more sensitive to anrdogens (DHT & Test).

You need to start looking into topical anti-androgens if you still want to continue those heavy weightlifting type of exercises. Drugs that protect your hair from the effects of testosterone.

I had exactly the same type of shedding..pretty scary "tchernobyl" type. after my heavy weights. I was so scared that I stopped the gym for 6 months. shedding stopped.
Now, since I know the cause, I use the meds and no shedding at all, even after very heavy weightlifting.
