Is Zix Comparable To Other Androgen Blockers?

I started seeing a lot of questions regarding Zix’s efficiency over at Reddit, there was even a person who claimed that he got similar results with Zix and CB0301.

Since the famous Zix threads was originated here I am sure that a lot of people here has/had experience with the Zix topical.

Let’s assume that finasteride/dutasteride/RU58841 and CB0301 are around 90-100% regarding the efficiency, then where would Zix end up on that scale?

there's this old study (80's) about zinc+b6+azelaic acid being very effective in vitro, but most of all there are several studies about zinc being an hormonal regulator, more than a androgen blocker.
so, for those who have hairloss related to that imbalance, zix is effective.
we still know very little about all the patterns that may lead to hairloss

Impossible to answer that question but since the body of evidence for zix is the lowest I am going to put it way behind the rest in terms of efficacy, even though I seem to be maintaining quite well on it.

Hard to say, there's no money to be made with zix by big pharma so we don't have a lot of studies to go by.

But it's safe to assume it doesn't block DHT as well as fina/duta...doesn't mean zix is inferior for hairloss purposes though, there could be other mechanisms at work that helps against hairloss too.

Interesting that you bring that up. My theory is actually that Zix work via another mechanism than 5AR inhibition. I also do not believe that the Zix creator is some brilliant guy who is an expert regarding hair loss but that Zix was simply a lucky shot.

Aren’t here anyone who used both zix and finasteride/dutasteride? I am sure anectodal comments would help us to understand it more.

Can zix/zinc lead to PFS like crashes? I've seen some negative posts on propeciahelp about it. Although weirdly for some it actually improved their smyptoms.

One guy claiming zinc made his dick feel numb in that second link.

Topical Saw palmetto gave me sides so i have to be careful with this stuff. I haven't seen any PFS reports of CB0 301 on those forums yet, although its less popular due to its cost atm.

It's zinc... it is something our body needs to survive...

Yeah your right. It's just it apparently blocks 5ar and i dunno perhaps too much of it is a bad thing? I'm still looking into/considering it. Has anyone in that zix post who's used it reported sexual sides?

It should metabolize as zinc and b6 which we have in our system already.

The only sexual side i can think of: zinc in high dosage depletes copper.
Copper is very closely related to estrogens.
If you significantly deplete copper your estrogens drop. This can cause hormonal imbalance (so if you lower them badly you loose libido yes)
Of course nothing to do with the zix dosage
