Is This Nw3? If Not, What Norwood Would You Classify Me As?

wanted a quick opinion on where my
Hairs at after 13-14 months of finasteride and then a 1.5 month break starting mid November to January 1st, I’m officially back on for a little over 2 months. Hairs all dry and stiff from minoxidil application (only diffusers will truly understand)

Is this nw3 territory?

You got to pull the hairline back to show the Norwood. But I think you are still a NW2.

Why did you take a break from finasteride? You’ve got your hair pushed back in that picture, have you lost anything in the crown area?

Why did you take a break from finasteride? You’ve got your hair pushed back in that picture, have you lost anything in the crown area?

2 reasons mainly, the first one was that I thought finasteride was doing sweet f*** all for my hair, I didn’t see any improvement and had suspicion of losing some density while on treatment. Unfortunately I started VISUALLY losing hair on my hairline especially my right side after a month off finasteride. I never had that much see throughness in my hairline so I hope it’ll thicken up again. The second reason was that some days I feel fatigued/out of it and wanted to see if finasteride was part of the problem. It clearly was and is lol, so now I take finasteride sun-Thursday and take a weekend from the drug and this has helped with the fatigue a lot. Happy to be back on finasteride and seeing no more regression in the last 2 months

Crown area is passable and barely noticeable but it’s definitely thinned out a little as well. I’m diffuse in nw5 just not to a completely noticeable extent, but VERY noticeable when hair is wet

Also, my forehead is fucken huge, but I’ve always had a big forehead since I can remember, and so does my sister so I can’t blame t in male pattern baldness, but it’s most likely what makes my nw2.5 feel like a serious nw3

Norwood 2 but be very careful about finasteride breaks. You can see a diffuse Norwood 5 pattern, that frontal third is looking thinner in particular and frontal detachment. I agree, you're losing ground maybe due to breaks from finasteride.

This pill is probably the only thing keeping you from severe baldness. I remember you mentioning your genetics and your brother maintaining decades, so stick to it.

If you lose all that on top, I doubt transplants will give you even 50 percent of that, frustrating after throwing money/time factor, ignoring deceitful videos or those with thick hair/massive donor. Think about it you have about 60k native hairs on top, spread most naturally and correctly by mother nature. That's like 30k grafts.

Surgery will be limiting so stay on medication if you're serious about hair unless you have truly intolerable sides. You're still young and fullish but it will be hard in many ways if it goes.

Yup I’m definitely diffusing in nw5 patterns

Also this break demolished my front, I was always a little thinner up front but NOW unless it’s styled it’s pretty noticeable

Norwood 2. Look good, stay on finasteride brother.
