Hi, Im 18 and I have male pattern baldness, my hair is very greasy now, when I spend more then 24 hours without washing, I have a lot of dandruff but most of it stays stuck to my scalp(?) and sometimes it gets very itchy.Does anybody else esperience these things too or do I have something unusual going on?
ps:Im on finasteride 5 mg and Nizoral for a week.

Sounds like seborrheic dermatitis... I have it and it's a b**ch to deal with. To my knowledge there isn't a cure for it, only lotions and shampoos that may or may not keep it at bay.

Umm yeah I got some tips: try to eat healthy, avoid sugar spikes and white grain. Try to eat lots of unprocessed fat, for example olive oil and coconut oil are good for the skin. Avoid saturated fats, junk food and sodas whenever possible. No candies, no chocolate (except ones with over 70% cocoa). Try a diet low on carbohydrates, it really is good for the skin. Use nizoral or some other shampoo specialised for dandruff/seb. dermatitis. I'm using a shampoo called "Ducray Kelual DS" right now, the active ingredient is ciclopiroxolamine and it really seems to be helping. I use it 2-3 x a week, and I use baby shampoo on off days.

Well recently I have been shampooing only once every 2 days since the scalp has felt ok after one day. If it itches after 1 day, then I usually shower every day (which was the case before this new diet experiment and the new shampoo). I guess it's normal baby shampoo yes. I don't know of any other.
