Hi guys,
I wanted to ask you an advice regarding my hair, since I cannot understand by myself if I should be concerned or not.
Two years ago a dermatologist told me I have some miniaturized hair and so prescribed me minoxidil (5%) twice per day, and I've been applying that since then regularly, without rubbing it, just applying it over my scalp.
Lately, I would say 2-3 months ago, I begun having dandruff issues and scalp irritation issues, so I started using Nizoral and rubbing the minoxidil over my scalp for 3-4 minutes to make it absorb thoroughly (under advice of another dermatologist). This resolved my dandruff issue but I fear that doing so (rubbing the minoxidil) could lead to a minor effectiveness of the product.
Lately I noticed my hairline seems to have receded a bit, so I wanted to ask for your opinion about that.
Should I be concerned and jump to other medicals? Or it is fine like that?
I was wondering if this is definitively a receding hairline or a maturing one.
Note that I'm 24 and I have long hair that are curly and very dry (no grease at all).
I would consider finasteride but my physician advised strongly against it because of the sides.
Let me know what you think about it please
