Im using finasteride for six months now, and in the first 4 months i shed alot of hairs. Im a guy with long hair so its very noticeable when i shed. My long hairs where falling of. Recently the shed completely stopped and i had no hairloss at all. I went from losing 100+ hairs to 10 hairs a day.
2 months ago i started using minoxidil 5% 2 times a day and nizoral shampoo. I also started to dermaroll the temples. Recently i noticed something very strange. Im losing alot of hairs again. I know that there is something called a minoxidil shed and im aware of that, but this time the shed is different than the shed i had with finasteride.
Im not longer losing long hairs, but alot of small hairs. I think im losing 100+ small hairs a day. The small hairs are very thick and curly.
My questions:
What are this kind of hairs?
Is this a good thing or should i start using dutasteride?
Why im losing only small hairs and not long hairs?
The hair loss must have connection with the minoxidil i think.
