Is This A Normal Amount Of Hair Pullthrough After Just The First Removal?

I have worn this piece just once only. I think that's a lot. What could cause this?

I wear 4 weeks at a time, remove the piece with isopropyl alcohol and then use Autoglym to soak it and then pressure water and fingers to remove the glue, then also dish washing liquid (Fairy) and shampoo and conditioner.

Hey dude .That's only after 1 month? The edges of the lace seem all frayed.

Some wash-through of hairs is normal, but that does seem like quite a lot. So far as I am aware there are only 2 possible reasons:

(1) you are not allowing the alcohol fully to break the adhesive bond before trying to pull the piece off, so some hairs are still stuck to the glue/tape, and are being pulled through the base; or

(2) you are washing or rinsing the piece with a water flow which is washing the hairs through. When you rinse, the water flow should always be aimed at the base side, not the hair side.

I don't really see how a quality defect could cause this. There has to be some mechanical process which is moving the hairs from one side of the mesh to the other.

I had this with my first unit, I was WAY too aggressive with the cleanup, and did not use enough product to remove the glue on the lace. Another issue I had, which MAY be part of this is; too much glue. When I do a full-head bond, I am now using very very thin layers of glue, and let it dry enough between the next layer. When I did this, I had almost no residue on the lace, and more on my head (easier to clean).

Damn Ghostbond XL is so strong. I really have to pull it a little to get it off no matter how much isopropyl alcohol I spray on it. I will faint in the fumes if I use much more. But I'll try.

Maybe I shouldn't put so much glue in the center? Only do the edges on a full scalp bond? Yet, it's sometimes still possible that the edges will lift, although the bond is so strong I am having difficulties getting the system off.

I am definitely not washing it the wrong side up.

I probably use too much glue yes. Perhaps 4 layers is too much? I let it dry.

I had hair sticking out from the back side once when I tried cleaning the piece with a toothbrush or rubbing with a facecloth....when I clean the glue off the lace , I now use very gentle rolling motion using a cotton ball soaked with alcohol or solvent such as googone ( autoglym not avail in my country)

Perhaps it's the high pressure water I use then?!
