is there hope in restoring these weak brittle hairs on finasteride?

I hear you. I'd give anything to have just had a few more years of my 20s without this crap, so I could get the partying/festivals/sleeping around/travelling out of the way and then throw the kitchen sink at it when I'm more settled. Envy people who get through this part of their life without hairloss. Of course, balding as a teenager would have been 10x worse so I'm at least thankful for that.

Over the last month i have been taking .5 for 3 days straight and then taking .25 on the 4th and so on like this. I was hoping you guys could give me an opinion on if i have worstened / maintained / improved on my hairline. My crown is looking better than ever but it was never bad to begin with so i dont really see a point in posting it... attached you will find a picture of my hair now, the pic with the red shirt is me 2 months ago. thanks!

It looks the same to me. Give it 1-2 years though over the next few months you should see signs of new hair and some going terminal - I did. Plus those empty triangle areas are hard to restore anyway. So far I have had some success but not much yet.

Good question. I just don't see the benefit of using it since I have pretty much all my hair except at the front, so it's kind of optional and saves the hassle of using it for life. Maybe it could have worked a miracle here who knows, but I will probably have a transplant if need be. I have some unused bottles in my room still :) Are you on the big 3?

Ah right! Minoxidil can keep you above baseline for a long time provided you're a good respondent and you don't have aggressive male pattern baldness. When I think about it, I could have just used Minoxidil (if I responded) and gone for repeated transplants. But finasteride is without doubt a superior treatment and works for more people, easy as hell to pop a pill too. I understand why people don't want to use it though. finasteride = maintenance for most people. minoxidil = regrowth.

Hopefully see your updates at some point.

I haven't no, apart from ball ache early on. If you got ED from SP, it might happen here since both are DHT inhibitors. You have to think, was ED placebo/unrelated or was it for real due to the drug. You can try and ride out the sides as well.

Thanks bro... i feel like my temple points are either filling in or going more back but im not too sure. as long as there is some sort of progress i am happy. my dose is currently .5mg for 5 days a week, i take 2 days off a week or take .25 dosage instead in those 2 days.
