Is There Anyone Who's Had Long Term Success Switching To Dutasteride From Finasteride?

Anyone?! Nearly every thread I've ever seen posted here on dutasteride has been either documentation of an awful shed and/or people quit only after a few months.

Is there anyone here who has been using dutasteride for AT LEAST 1 year? If so what norwood were you when you started and what norwood are you now?

Please don't comment if you've had a hair transplant, it'd be impossible to tell if dutasteride works for you at that point or not.

Anybody?

https://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/threads/thanksgramps-12-year-hair-loss-story.103650/ - Guy who was on finasteride then switched to dutasteride.

http://www.hairlosshelp.com/forums/...d=70161&STARTPAGE=2&FTVAR_FORUMVIEWTMP=Linear - Some guys mention their finasteride/dutasteride use in there.

I'm tempted to add in dutasteride a couple times a week out of pure paranoia. I've been on finasteride for 2 years; my hair basically has stayed the same with some slight thickening. I just don't want to lose any ground whatsoever. I know guys mention that one case study where the guy adds in dutasteride once a week with finasteride. However, it has seemed that a lot of guys that add in dutasteride a couple times a week with finasteride don't really see benefits.

I was going to say you have the best hair on here for your age but the other day some guy has you beat. In your case, I would stay away from dutasteride as the sides are not worth it at your age especially if you want kids.

Don't remember his name but you actually posted in his thread. He may actually be younger than you. He has dark hair combed back.

I'm thinking the same, adding 1 or 2 dutas a week but haven't found any 'success stories' here. My main concern is sides but haven't got any on finasteride.

Thanks for being the only guy even attempting to answer my question.

I am still weighing options on adding anti-androgen. Just hit a bad shed after being in minoxidil and Keto alone.

One of my Dermatologists (female) recommended starting with Duta saying there are less reported sides than finasteride.

I’m leaning towards a topical finasteride option either that WH liposomal or what she is recommending Formula 82F (minoxidil and finasteride) once a day or trying RU first then trying the finasteride. I’m too concerned with sides but losing ground quickly, diffuse all over the top. Long back and sides are making it tough to fake.

If duta once a week was safe/effective could it be a better starting point? I’m 1.6 years into the fight. I can’t stress enough that I started from a crazy thick baseline.
