Hi guys.

Im currently 20 years old ... and have been getting comments from my hair dresser that the "top" of my head is really "thin" and that I should use something called Kaminomoto ...

Anyways ... Ive read lots of threads and got quite an information.

Ive decided to start using Nizoral because of its anti-androgen properties.
Was planning to use it every Mon and Fri. ... since everyone is noting that it should be used 2-3 times a week.

Is this enough for my hair condition?

Im trying to avoid propecia and such cause of the probable side affects ...

Is adding Minoxidil/Rogain or maybe spironolactone worth it / needed?

Thanks a lot guys!

crown looks thinning to me

IMO i dont think nizoral alone will help out your situation

finasteride works the best

i would worry about the sides
they are rare and usually temporary

lets see what others think about this one

"if you think you are loosing your hair you probably are"

cheers mate

Your hair appears to be thinning alright.

You can ad minoxidil, or finasteride to your regimen.

Thanks for the replies both of ya !
... and thank you for telling me that it actually is thinning :(

... now to do something about it ...

Im actually siding into giving 1/5 proscar a try atm ... its just that the sides that I have read in the forum really scares me - eghh - manboobs O,o ???

But it looks like its the only way to really combat what you guys call MBP ?
Well ... Is this MBP Im experiencing? Hope not :( ...

Have read more threads regarding minoxidil ... since I last posted ...
... looks like people tend to lose all the hair they gained when using minoxidil the time they stop using it ... and thats a big downside ...

Some more advice? :)

male pattern baldness = abbreviation for male pattern baldness

IMO it looks like you are experiencing early sings of male pattern baldness

hows your genetics?
your fathers hair?,his father?
older brothers?,uncles?
your Mum's father? etc.

analyzing will help to predict where you are headed

my crown was looking like yours 5 months ago
and i think its filling well on the the big three

you should take pics of you hair pulled back and with your eyebrows raised
on the hairline and both temples to get an better assessment on your situation

you are right minoxidil is an lifelong commitment, meaning the hair you gain/maintain
while using it will continue to miniaturize after use
the same goes with finasteride

i would suggest you use the big three
others will tell you to just you finasteride and nizoral and then add minoxidil later

its really your choice

the ball is in your court bro

i hope this helps

cheers mate

Thanks for the suggestion BodyDysmorphic

One question though ...
From what you said ...
Does it mean that, once you start using finasteride and minoxidil, you cant afford to stop?

cant afford to stop? huh?

well no you can stop anytime as long as your willing to see yourself loosing the hair you have gained/maintained

for me ill think i stop treatments when im like 50-60 or until the treatments become ineffective

what im saying is some people get good results on the big three and then stop and wish they didnt
they go back on it and hope for the same results

it's better to just stay on it
(forever for the best results)

like i said they are lifelong commitments
get it?

cheers mate

Dont focus to much on the sides, people who have them tend to go to the internet and complain, where the succesful dudes just go outside and enjoy life.

minoxidil is a great growth stimulant and again the same thing, dont focus on the horrible stories, thats just a great minority!!!

minoxidil has worked awesome for me.

You definitely have male pattern baldness. Your crown is thinning and your temples have receded. Get on finasteride, nizoral, and topical spironolactone. You can try minoxidil but I personally wouldnt recommend it (made my temples shed and never regrew).

Your hairloss is minimal and you haven't been losing it for long. Taking that into consideration I'd day that finasteride and nizoral would be enough. Try that out for a year and evaluate then before deciding to add anything else into the mix.

Thanks all for the replies!
It really helped! ;)

@ Jokerman - Yea Iam thinking the same way as you ...

... so atm ...

I have Nizoral (every 3 days) and PTO offdays on my regime.
I guess that would be enough to combat DHT.

In addition I have started to use a product called Kaminomoto - supposed to be the best / most used product in Japan - for hair growth - to get back all those lost hair ;(

Sadly noone in the forum has successfully documented its effects - so Ill be glad to be the test rabbit :3
