Hey, I don't know if this is just me and my perceptions of what balding and stuff really is or if this is actually a problem, but I had the realization that almost EVERYONE in my circle of friends or the guys in my year at my school have NRW1-2 hairlines and way more thin hair than I do.. I'm pretty sure some of them are aware conscious about it, some of them even make jokes about it lol. I also see some of them run there hands through there hair too see how much comes out or parts there hair or styles it too conceal it.

Some of them have had natural NRW2-3 hairlines while some of them I think have progressed into a NRW 0.5-2. Most of them with generally more finer hair have way more noticable scalp at there crown and hair in general. Almost everyone male in my yeargroup (ages 14-15) seem to fall into one of these categories. People in the year above me are not much better if not worse. Most of the people I'm referring too seem to be Caucasian or something, though I have a spanish-mexican friend that has dark fine hair has like a -2NRW hairline, but a lot of thin hair at his crown area.

Does anyone else notice this? Or has it always been like this lol.
How was it like when you guys were in high school?

lol does that mean everyone i know is going to be bald at 18?
No, i started balding at 14, im 20 now and still have most of my hair. Some temple recession is normal, its when you hit NW3 or have crown/diffuse thinning that it becomes true male pattern baldness

Is it normal too have a thinning crown or alot more scalp showing at that age? It seems I overestimated my situation to an extent as most people have it just as bad if not worse. Many of the guys in the senior years are like pretty bad as well in terms of crown visibility.

Might just be my idea and perception of what a "full crown" really is or something though

wouldnt say its anymore common now then it was before. Only difference being youre getting older, and with experience you tend to notice others with your own problem that much more. However, I have noticed now at the parties I go to that recession at the hairline is becoming much more common. Being bald is still rare, but I manage to see the odd person.

You are on the hook of cognitive biases.
