Is It Just Me Or Is The Wind A Pain In The A**?

Hey guys, for those of you who don't know me I am 21, am in college, and have been on finasteride 1mg for over 2 years with great success and my hair remains thick and full minus a slight recession in temples (Norwood 1.5-2), which no one can really notice unless I pull my hair back. I am on it because I care about my hair like everyone else on this forum, and I model so it is important for me to maintain my looks.

However, it was a very windy day today in NYC and I have to walk to class and my hair is a little on the longer side right now. Whenever there is a huge gust of wind and it messes my hair up, it makes me self-conscious about my temples and I hope that no one notices. Maybe I am just overreacting because some of my friends with no hair loss whatsoever (even girls) complain that windy days mess their hair up, but I think for me it is different because I don't want my temples to be exposed.

Finasteride has been great for me. I've always had a high-ish hairline since I was a little kid. Part of me wants to get a small hair transplant to fill them in since I have finasteride maintaining the rest of my hair, but I know that isn't a good idea at my age and part of me is hoping that Replicel or Histogen can help more with regrowth.

In short, I was just wondering if any of you other users get annoyed and have a similar experience with the wind and if any of you have ideas as to how to overcome this.

dude, at least your hair is thick enough to put back into place... if my hair gets blown in the wind i need a bathroom mirror to get adjusted... i wonder if people notice me tilting my head in the winds direction so that my hair doesnt go against it lol.

and on the part about a hair transplant, you do not need one man, your hair looks crisp.. girls dont care about recession if the density is there.

I feel you man but it is still a pain no matter what stage you're at. I try to keep my head down when there is a strong gust of wind. Sometimes I have to use my iPhone camera to fix it.

Maybe I will try to cut my hair shorter, thanks @buckthorn

I'm a student at NYU so I am mostly downtown. It does get very windy some days, especially today.

I guess I was just looking for advice on this. Maybe using a different, stronger gel will help or even a hat with the cold winter weather. How do other users solve this problem?

classic Bernoulli effect, move to a city with less high rises and it shouldn't be such a problem. But yeah wind pisses me the fuk off.

Gonna delete this pic, but this is my hair from a couple weeks ago. Notice how you can't notice the recession unless I pull my bangs back.

holy f***, I thought we were going to be friends kid, but with hair like that, you can f*** right off! ;)

seriously though, your density looks amazing. if the wind bothers you, try a little hairspray. I used it for two years straight, EVERY DAY... and even 30mph winds couldn't move it.

This. Especially when you reach Norwood 3-4 stage. It's a matter of choosing the lesser of two evils.

it's depressing when no matter what you do, you know your hair looks like complete sh*t. a couple years ago I had OPTIONS. I could STYLE it and make it look decent. I no longer know that feeling. Now it's just a matter of covering up the scalp where I can, and trying to not look like I have some disease.
