Always see full heads of hair on asian/japan region etc...even india it seems also

Think diet based on rice.

Rice avoids gluten and all the rubbish proccessed food and wheat and dairy we eat.

They have spices and meat and veggies.

Rarely see or hear any asian people going bald, i guess unless they follow western diet?

Diet has no measurable impact otherwise we could all just reverse or stop our hair loss by changing diet, it's really all genetic predisposition, same thing happens to Amerindians living in the US, they're all fed by McDonalds and other rubbish yet still have those very low hairlines.

yes but the adaptation takes time?

So we and our parents ate crap...Im talking about asians 50+ years old, they were either brought up in asia on asian diet or if moved to us etc back in the day 40 year ago would no doubt still eating an asian diet in usa etc..

If u compare a 20 year old 2/3 generation westenised asian who was brought up eating junk well firstly hes still young so cant say.

also not like one can just undo 20-30 years eating crap. If we ate asian food since birth maybe we never go bald, at 20-30 when we see hair loss we had 20-30 years bad diet, that cant be undone by switching to asian diet for a year or 2 etc....

Half Asian here. Grew up in Asia. Genetic hair loss. My body is naturally toned tho. Eat like a pig and never got fat. So I guess there's that advantage. Asian food is a lot healthier if you know how to make delicious Asian food with steaming.

I love Asian food but you have to make it at home so you can avoid the high sodium and sugar they put in their food when you eat out. I love Vietnamese food since they tend to use less sodium and sugar when they cook.

Depending on why a person goes bald in the first place, diet can effect it. I have seen both men and women regrow hair and thick hair when they started eating better in general. More fruits and vegetables, less crap and prepackaged "meals". A lot of men in America can't tolerate soy because it mimics estrogen and that alone can cause balding and thinning in hair all over. They put soy in so much these days.

But it is true that eating fish is quite beneficial for black shiny hair growth.

Diet has no measured impact, which is plausibly because the issue has not been studied properly.

Sure, if you could guess which diet is the best one and you could stick to it.

Exactly. People always use that argument that lifestyle can't have anything to do with hair loss because we don't see a lot of people stopping hair loss by changing their lifestyle. People rarely change their lifestyle though, especially for the extended period that would be required to notice a difference. We know heart disease and hair loss are linked, and we know that diet and exercise have an impact on heart disease. There are no studies though to show if there's an impact on hair loss. I'd like to see a good study on insulin resistance and hair loss. I think it would surprise a lot of people here.

It's actually well known that male pattern baldness has a strong correlation with insulin resistance and low SHBG.

I think some level of diet are involved in hair loss problems. But the Major reason behind the hair loss is genetic disorder or some psychological health issue will serve to hair loss problems. The mental stress, genetic problems and Diet are the some major cause behind the hair loss.:(

probably not any measurable effect. i usually see balding in asians if they are 1) middle-aged, or old 2) lots of body hair (myself and dad included). it's no coincidence that asians, on avg, have lower levels of the enzyme responsible for metabolizing test into dht.
