The spike in T from dutasteride thinned my hair crazy fast. I was on 0.5mg daily for a year. I had ejaculation issues the whole time but I kept using it. Then I was on 2.5mg for a while. Then 2mg dutasteride 3 times a week. Hair destroyed and my semen turned to 1 drop after busting. Bro not all react the same to hormonal changes. U were lucky.
I’ve been on dutasteride since July 2024. Noticed an increase of libido about a month after starting, but that subsided, now I hardly have one, even though my Test is over 1,000, hence the RU. Didn’t notice an ‘shed’ after switching from finasteride either, just gradual thinning and recession. What would be people’s here’s advice? See a specialist? Get more blood work? DHT test? Switch back to finasteride? I’m really at a loss.

I’ve noticed the same from working out or just lifting things in general, it’s crazy. I’m skinny too and struggle to gain weight, but people are surprised how much I can lift. I’m beginning to think my body is compensating from the nuked DHT levels by up-regulating androgen receptor sensitivity, so even Test miniaturises the follicles.

Bro u should quit dutasteride if your hair isnt thicker after a year of use. My hair was flatter everywhere and front hair was more see through and all the little shrinked hair folicles didnt thicken up at all. Even got on 15mg Oral minoxidill for 5 months. Still continued thinning. My hair is alot more stable today after dropping all pharma drugs lol.
I’m honestly not sure what to do. I’d love to hear people’s opinions/advice here. I’m not even sure if a trichologist could help, as reflex hyperandrogeneticy isn’t well studied.
