If Men Went Bald the Opposite Way

Hi guys, here's something a lot of you probably never thought of...

What do you think if us men lost our hair from the back and sides of the head instead of the top? Do you think it would be as bad? Here's what I think:

We would be able to grow our hair long and practically pull off a 'comb-under' to cover our hair loss. However, if we lost hair in this pattern, I'm pretty sure people would be suspicious of men with long hair.

So, what do you guys think?

Feel free to share everything on what you think if we lost hair in this pattern.

Totally bald on the sides would be WEIRD though.

I get my sides shaved. It's called an undercut. I'd love if we went bald (if we had to go bald at all) like that. Look at how awesome Ragnar looks from Vikings.

According to multivers theory http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiverse, infinitely many parallel universes exist with all sort of possible relations, histories, laws and worlds. There must be one, in which there is earth where men tend to bald in that way . maybe there is some parallel universe in which women tend to bald, and perhaps men don't. Who knows ?

If you really wanted that look, Pilofocus is your answer. Essentially harvest ALL of the hair from the back and sides. On average the human head has about 100,000 hairs, which translates to 40,000 grafts. If you're plagued by a NW6 bald area, then that's roughly 200cm/2. Average amount of hair before baldness kicked in would have been around 20,000 graft, which is basically HALF of all your available hair. So... if you want that back and sides shaved look with FULL density, you could harvest ALL of your hair from the sides and back and move it up top quite easily with pretty awesome density (you have to take into account failed grafts though, not all survive).

I wouldnt want that look though... try going in for a job interview with that hair... good luck!

If I could transplant all the hair from the sides and back onto the top I would do it. If that was a natural balding pattern? Again, no complaints here.

you're describing dupa i think. my hair is like that...my sides are thinning badly but it doesnt look bad when i shave it. my top is thick from minoxidil and finasteride. my sides are very visibly thinning when i grow them longer, like so.

Yeah this is what I wished hair transplant accomplished today, who cares about hair on the sides and back, it's about proportions and having thick sides makes your head squared and potato like plus it protects your head from heat and cold. There would be less of a stigma and it would be seen as something related with maturity like that first thin mustache you get in your early teens or hairs on the chest.

Yes. Short back and sides is always a cool cut so no issue losing it.

Yea it'd definitely look better seeing as most people get short back and sides these days but you never know if it was the norm people would probably find a way to make you feel bad. Also for the record, women do bald (my mother included) no receding hairline her hair is very thin now.
