I think Rogaine and Propecia should switch places.

Rogaine should be the one that requires a prescription because it can lower your blood pressure and give you heart palpitations. That sounds dangerous.

Propecia should be given over the counter because the lowering of the sex drive is the most common side effect (among a few others), but none of these sides of finasteride seem anywhere near as serious as heart palpitations/chest pain etc.

Btw, was Rogaine only prescribed a decade ago?

Propecia is definitely the more drastic drug...it affects your hormones.

Yeah but many over the counter herbals are speculated to do the same. And aren't chest pains and heart palpitations more serious than hormonal changes?

If you get chest pains and heart palpitations, you should probably go to the ER.

If you notice some hormonal changes you can always talk to your doctor but its not dangerous.

Well prescriptions are generally stupid, unless its with addictive substances. My only point is to consider propecia more dangerous than rogaine seems odd. Maybe someday they will sell propecia over the counter.

There are tons of things within our world today that change our hormones. The very air you breathe now can do this.

Pollution is a b**ch.
