i'm 19 and really need help

I started to lose my hair in October 2020, at the beginning of December I was on finasteride

I started to have positive effects after 3 months. then I lost less than 10 hairs per brushing.

but recently I have lost between 25 and 30 when I brush my hair. I have a few small hairs that fall out but the others are all the same diameter.

I don't know why I'm losing more.

besides, I no longer had a libido under finasteride but for a few days now my libido has become strong again and that scares me.

I am ready to do anything to get my hair back

sorry for my english i'm french, i'll leave you pictures of me with wet hair that i took there is 1 hour.

And sorry for my mask on my face.

Help me please, i am terribly sad, if i lost again my hair such as the last october-november i Will prefer to be dead

25-30 hairs isn’t unusual to lose . Everyone loses up to 100 hairs a day , balding or not .

It worries me that you say you’d rather be dead. At the moment you’re not bald . Even if you did bald it’s not the end of the world so you mustn’t allow hair to determine your life … I know it doesn’t feel great the prospect of losing hair but once it’s gone life moves on and you have so much life to look forward to at the young age of 19.

I think you need to talk to a doctor . You are very young and they will point you in the direction of people who can help you , not with balding but with dealing with life changes and knocks .

Lots of men face balding so you are not alone and remember it is not life changing .

Looks more like telogen effluvium tbh not pattern loss
Ack. OP, it doesn't matter in terms of the decision to go on finasteride and the mathematics of it are pretty simple but Telogen Effluvium and male pattern baldness are not either/or. They are male pattern baldness and Telogen Effluvium, or only male pattern baldness. It's sucker's roulette to see Telogen Effluvium as somehow protective. Also, purportedly Telogen Effluvium is all over the scalp like diffuse thinning but your loss areas are male pattern baldness ones. The mathematics as to how white males see hair loss/finasteride use in the past is also instructive.

But because of the overwhelming numbers of guys who thought that they had Telogen Effluvium but turned out to have male pattern baldness, just noticing hair loss related to male pattern baldness is the most relevant data of all:

Wrong, I had telogen effluvium after getting off accutane years ago it took over a year for me to get my density back. It’s rare but it can happen.

That's great for you and all but self-reporting is generally not the best form of data and here, it still doesn't change the point or the mathematics which is still that virtually no one who thinks they have Telogen Effluvium, does not have male pattern baldness. I also think that Telogen Effluvium in so-called male pattern baldness areas like the crown makes very little sense. Why wouldn't it be everywhere? Plus, if you don't have male pattern baldness and have been cured then why are you on here all of the time just so I can keep it straight.

Best,
Janey
