looking at about 3300-3500 grafts to fix my hairline, diffuse thinning and crown. I'm doing FUT. I'm a 29 year old NW2-3 but I have a badly thinning crown


how bad is the recovery for this you guys? Can I go back to work after 7 days (I sell cars)?

You should post in the hair transplant section, most users on this section have not had transplants. 7 days might be enough, more realistically 2 weeks.

what's the problem with going to work earlier than that? I don't care if people can tell that I've had a surgery, my co workers all know anyways

It's not that, its just to make sure all the grafts have been properly secured to your head. Its cool you are open about your surgery.. How is your donor area?

in regards to how good it is for this surgery? it's about as good as you can hope for. My hair is crazy thick, wavy and Doctor said I have excellent donor density with lots of 3 and 4 hair grafts. I'm Armenian. We have similar hair to Indian people.

He said I might be able to get like 11,000 hairs out of 3500 grafts

Wow that's amazing! I wish I had good donor, mine is below average with retrograde alopecia on sides and nape with fine 1 - 2 hair grafts I have no idea how many grafts i have avaliable, but it probably wouldn't be worth it due to my retrograde. Good luck and make sure to post pictures I bet you could get back to or close to NW1

I have the donor area trimmed very tight here so you can't see it but my donor quality is excellent

when i was a juvenile, my hair was so insanely thick, it was hard to even comb. Honestly, I don't want to go back to that - it's too hard to style and it's just too much hair because my hair gets very wavy/curly.

I figure I'll get back to maybe 70% of my juvenile thickness, which would be just about perfect

I'm hoping for maybe an Norwood 1.5 to 2 but the more important thing is that I should have excellent density overall

It looks like you have retrograde alopecia on your sides above your ears,did your transplant doctor mention this to you or was the back of your head the only area he examined?

no that part of my hair is just shaved, that's why it looks like that. He looked at my whole head and said my donor area is nearly ideal

I checked your regimen, no finasteride? Its really not a good idea to get a hair transplant without using finasteride.

Its better to not to go back to work too early as you need to rest up, 2 weeks would be the earliest i would say.

i am on finasteride

I can't tell if im getting side effects. My sex drive is still ferocious but my boners boners sometimes feel soft. Today in morning I did get very hard twice

Probably just in your head. Do you feel finasteride is maintaining for you?

I looked at my crown from 7 months ago and it looks about identical...maybe like 3% worse
