I Have To Add Something New To Regimen

Hello guys, I am using finasteride for 16 months and euthyrox 25mcg for 5 months. For those who do not know what euthyrox is, it is a thyroid medicine. My hair is doing pretty much same. Recently I got a short haircut and in strong lightning I started to see through my head. I still shed too much hairs eventhough it's been like 16 months. Anyway, I would like to add someting new to my regimen for maybe regrowing some hairs, except minoxidil because I am afraid of the shedding phase of minoxidil so, what do you suggest?

dutasteride and minoxidil are really all that's left

I guess nizoral/keto shampoo, which is of questionable benefit

Well, I will definitely not increase my anti androgen intake because my dht level is already 100 pg/mL which is pretty low and I am just 21. For nizoral, I think it ruins my hair, so it seems like minoxidil is the only option but what about stemoxydine or maybe some other lotions which can make a little effect?

Colony i too was scared to take minoxidil because of the shedding, im approaching 3 weeks on the stuff ( i take it orally ) and i will tell you there is definitely some shedding. Although i think my shed is ending ( i hope ) but its not been as bad as some of the horror stories ive read. I wouldnt be afraid to take minoxidil, because the shed IS temporary, even if it doesnt work the hair you shed will regrow eventually. Just like kj said, at this point in time there really isn't much else you can take apart from minoxidil or dutasteride ( i would steer clear of dutas but thats just my opinion! ) Hope i helped

EDIT: You could always try RU, its a topical anti androgen with less side effects.

Thanks for your answers guys. Another question, what about stopping finasteride and start using RU instead of finasteride? Is it still possible to maintain my hair with only RU? The only side effect I got from finasteride is less facial hair. I was just developing a beard and it stopped after finasteride and horror stories are starting to freak me out

I wouldnt stop finasteride, if you want to grow a beard use minoxidil for that. That may give you an indication to how much you would shed and if it would work for you. RU is powerful in its own right but an internal dht blocker is a must in every regime.
