I feel Kerasome will be too good to be true.

I have read a lot about this product. I feel I am going to be disappointed when I take the plunge and buy the stuff. They make it sound too good to be true and more or less guarantee results.
What about those with a shaved head? Are we talking some form of cream with hair in? I’m trying to use my imagination and picture what the substance actually is like, but I fail to come up with a realistic one.

For example, what if a guy with diffuse thinning and a shaved head #1 used the stuff? Would he look a prat? Would it be obvious that he is doing something to hide his hairline/hair loss.

The thing that gets me with this concealer malarkey is that surely, someone an come up with a viable solution - albeit temporary. Is Kerasome this solution? I have my doubts whether this stuff will cut the mustard. I have read 'Hairsites' view on it. I'm sure 'hairsite' had acceptable hair to begin with. Hair that you can actually comb and style. What about those with less? I've looked at their before and afters, and come to the conclusion that something isn’t quite right with the way they present the pictures. However, on their before and after pics, the guys are quite bald and diffusing. I don't really know what to think.

I’ve just viewed my hair in the light and it looks horrible. Without wanning on about my own situation, I feel that having an acceptable, neat looking hair-line makes the world of difference.

Well just take the plunge, buy a 1-month sample and let us know how it works.

I did read over at hairsite that the company were going to give away some freebies this month but I suspect that that would only be to people in the States.

EDIT: Gunner I am about a NW2.5 but in the last 6 months the front has started to diffuse. I undestand that your hair is diffuse as well so I *genuinely* would like to know how it works out for you. I wasn't trying to be flippant so apologies if it seems that way.

That's true. I wrote them last month about possibly getting a sample of it and they told me to write back in 6 weeks. They answered my questions I had about the product and were quite nice and professional about it. Here's their reply:

Hi -----,

Thanks for your interest in Kerasome. The answer to your question is that we will have small samples in about six weeks. They will be free and it is one ounce of product, so you will be able to get a good idea of how it works for you.

The sample sizes will only be available in Black, Dark Brown, Medium Brown and Light Brown because these colors represent more than 90% of our orders and it is expensive to do this type of packaging and sampling.

You will find the product undetectable in any light because it is real hair. The hairline is also very natural. There is one picture of a hairline on the website. The sun moved a bit after the application so it's not exactly the same lighting conditions, but you can see the hairline in that picture. The demo video is myself and we will put pictures of my hairline on the website. I can't even see the product in my own hair.

The demo video and the one man that shows his hairline is also done under natural light. I think the rest are under either under electric lighting or a combination of electric and natural.

Also to get a good idea of the hairline the womens' photos are good.

I would say if there is some hair in the area it will improve you appearance and will be undectable. Styling is easy because you can add water back to the hair and restyle it later. You can also use pretty much any product you want after application.

Just to let you know that there is approximately sixty grams of real hair in each bottle and it is very expensive to make. But Kerasome can be left in for days. I usually only wash it out every other day. It does not stain the pillow (although some tiny particles can be found on a white pillow case which are easily brushed off.)

So if you want to wait for the free samples please email us in about six weeks. If you decide to order, order the one for fine hair because that works for normal hair while the reverse is not necessarily true.

Because it is our policy not to "spam" clients, we don't follow up unsolicited emails so please email us back in six weeks and we will send you a free sample. (Hopefully you are one of the colors listed above.)

Thanks for your interest in Kerasome.

Kerasome Sample Update

I emailed Kerasome again six weeks later(well, actually more like seven) as they had suggested in their last email, and I just thought I would post their reply:

Hi _____,

Production on the samples is just about done. They are being filled as we speak. I'll send you out some samples late next week. We also just launched Kerasome Pure Hair Powder and will have those samples as well. We feel that the Hair Building Solution is much more powerful when combined with the powder.

I'll email you when I ship the products out.

Thanks for your interest.

Well, I finally received my Kerasome sample after some miscommunication. That resulting from the fact that we just moved and I still don't have internet yet. But I used the library computer and gave them my new home address and soon after a little envelope arrived.
So I just put the Kerasome on today and am fairly to pretty pleased with the results so far. I didn't know it would be so liquidy(is that a word? ). I envisioned a dryer formula or maybe more pasty like Courve. Anyway, at first while blowdrying it and brushing through I was not too pleased with it when chunks of the dried stuff came down on my forehead. But after my hair dried more and I combed it through I think it does a good job. It's not prefect, of course. The stuff on my front hair line does cling to the bigger transplants and can give a slightly spotty appearance which I then have to fix, but so does Dermatch when I get too near the hairline. I did find that it worked better than Dermmatch on the sides though, and the best thing about it I've found is that, well you know how when you(for those of you with more diffuse thinning) can sometimes see through your hair in light at certain angles? Kerasome doesn't do that like Dermmatch and Courve does.
Like I've said, it isn't perfect, but I do think it does warrant a purchase so that I can experiment with it more because for a first try, it has worked pretty well. I'll have to see when I have more for the bald spot in back because I don't think I really had enough to adequately cover that part, but if you put some nanogen(what I am using now for that part) or hairsoreal or toppik on it works the same as it does when you use them in conjunction with Dermmatch or Courve.

Thanks for remembering us... Nice update.

Is this the stuff that says you only have to put it on once a week? If so, does it last all week??

Thanks Again for the update

You're very welcome everyone. :)

md2002, I remember the creator(of Kerasome, not God  ) saying in an email that he usually washes his hair every couple days, but I think it probably would last a week. I don't know if I have gone that long(I may have  ) but I have found it sometimes even looks better after it has been in a couple days. Then I never want to wash my hair.

Sorry to bump an old thread but how do people find Kerasome when it comes to staining pillows? I find that Dermatch somes straight off onto my GFs pillows and fingers (not good) and am wondering if Kerasome is any better? Thanks
