I Can't Figure Out Whose Hair I'm Following In My Family

all the men on my dads side were NW7 by 24 but the men on my moms side all have good hair. My uncle and grandpa on moms side have a lot of hair and my grandpa was NW2 to maybe 2.5 even at 65. My grandpa has great hair

meanwhile I'm NW2.5 but with NW5 crown at 29 years old. I have had some diffuse thinning also. I started losing in crown hard at 25 to 26.

What do you guys think I'm destined for? one side of my family is horrific and one side is excellent and I'm right in the middle. How am I gonna look at 60? will I be NW7?

I have been wondering about this myself--my dad was totally bald by 35, one grandpa was bald and the other for the most part. But my 4 uncles on my mom's side are 60-65 and have thick hair still and my hair always looked like theirs. I am 30 now and noticed a bald spot, while I am not 100% sure if I have male pattern baldness yet (does it even matter?) I am opened to the fact that maybe I am destined for a less aggressive battle...in any case I am using minoxidil, curcumin+reservratol and head massage+weekly derma roll for now. I have brand name Propecia at my home in case things don't improve by next month.

You can't predict but if you stay on hair loss treatments like finasteride you can slow down your final Norwood pattern or offset it from happening sooner than later.

I just posted my own story and am curious as to what side of the family I fall in as well (might not matter though since 90% of them are bald LOL). My hair was never as thin as my dad's but we both have the same issue of having oily hair. Dad started losing hair around the age I am right now (26) and members of my family on both the paternal and maternal side are mostly bald. Some people on any side of the family just seem to get lucky as my mom's brother has a full head of hair even in his 50s. I'm hoping that I can at least hold onto my hair into my 30s before going on something like finasteride.
