I am recruiting a group of young people with androgenetic alopecia for a study of the treatment of androgenetic alopecia with progesterone gel.
Finasteride doesn't work, but progesterone is a human hormone that should work.It won’t work
What do you mean finasteride doesn't work? Why would progesterone be more effective than finasteride?Finasteride doesn't work, but progesterone is a human hormone that should work.
Progesterone is a biologically active 5-alpha reductase inhibitor in humans. Furthermore, it undergoes a chain of reactions via 5-alpha reductase. When 5-alpha reductase is occupied by progesterone, it converts it into dihydroprogesterone (allopregnenolone), a hormone associated with calm and sleep. If 5-alpha reductase is occupied by finasteride, it cannot convert progesterone into dihydroprogesterone and allopregnenolone. You will experience poor sleep and panic attacks. Without allopregnenolone, nerve endings become exposed, and lower back and joint pain are possible. This is one of the side effects of finasteride: the lack of allopregnenolone. What do you mean finasteride doesn't work? Why would progesterone be more effective than finasteride?
5-alpha reductase type I is the one primarily responsible for allopregnanolone in the CNS, and it's not inhibited by finasteride. I don't experience poor sleep or panic attacks on finasteride, it's like a sugar pill. Progesterone is much less potent than finasteride or dutasteride, making it less effective. We have decades of human data on finasteride, there is no signal that it causes nerve damage.Progesterone is a biologically active 5-alpha reductase inhibitor in humans. I personally tried finasteride twice, and both times I experienced lower back pain after just a few days of taking it. After the artificial intelligence appeared, I asked it why joint and lower back pain occurs when taking finasteride. He told me it was one of finasteride's side effects. This is because finasteride is unable to convert into allopregnolone, which protects our nerve endings! It's a foreign molecule. It can't be converted through 5-alpha reductase into what the body needs. It's a troublemaker!5-alpha reductase type I is the one primarily responsible for allopregnanolone in the CNS, and it's not inhibited by finasteride.
