Hypothetical Minoxodil Question

So,

Let's say I am cautious on finasteride and anticipate there being a better solution by 2020 (comooonnnn stem cells!).

Let's also say that minoxodil + nizoral can maintain hair at baseline for 5-6 years (debatable, but bear with me).

If this magical solution did appear by 2020, would I be in just as good a position as if it were available today? I would have the same # of hairs & thickness, but would the follicles be in worse shape and 'masked' by the minoxodil, therefore inihibiting magicfix?

If you stop using minoxidil, you will lose the hair that it maintained.

Well nothing can beat powerful magic, maybe it'll be so magical that it'll regrow everything anyway, but if the magic isn't strong enough then you'll lose your minoxidil hair by stopping minoxidil.

Am sure there is new hairloss treatment out there, they are just fighting about who get how much % of sales. I can imagine stem cell topical? or even a virus or bacteria that can repair killed hair foc?



Am sure a research like that will cost about 100-200m mark. But we humans are busy killing each other overseas.

It depends on what the cure is but minoxidil users need minoxidil to maintain it, that there is no doubt . With finasteride, you are holding onto your natural hair.
