Aged 30. This is my right side ... worst side for recession . I hate the thin hairs n the fact I'm starting to see scalp clearly through the right side , especially in the sun..

Anything to thicken or regrow ?

Stay on Finasteride. Even if microdosing. Use 5% Minoxidil foam. For your age you still have a decent amount of hair, and a good shot at growing it all back. The time window won't be there if you don't medicate soon.

despite the risks every guy pretty much has to try finasteride right now if they want chance at keeping hair. Shed or not.

Not worried about the shed on finasteride. I currently take 0.5mg finasteride...

It seems as though I'm losing more on my hairline though and I want to preserve it ... I understand miniox is the best way to do this ... I'm worried about the minoxidil shed!!

Regrowing hair can be done using finasteride and minoxidil - there is no doubt. However, considering that your loss is localised in primarily one location you need to be asking yourself if you are accelerating your loss. What shampoo are you using? Hair products? Exercise? Diet? Excessive alcohol consumption? Dehydration? How are you drying it?

Have you heard of the big 3? Its a combination of minoxidil, finasteride and nizoral. These are treatment options but prevention is much more important and require lifestyle changes. Check out this website: avoid-hairloss.com/prevention before you resign yourself to treatment only.

Hit me back with any questions!

I currently use 0.5mg propecia and nizoral.

My hair loss is not localised . I have mild thinning throughout but thinning more prevalent on hairline

Regardless of your hair loss pattern, you should seriously consider preventative measures and prioritize prevention over treatment.

Hey mate, I've never had a shed from minoxidil, it does happen yes but its not a given that it's going to happen. Also in terms of 'dreaded' shed, I've rarely if ever seen anyone complain that the shed significantly cosmetically impacted their hair, mostly it's just 'oh god I'm shedding what now!!!' the answer to which is usually 'that means it's working just wait it out'...

So get on minoxidil mate, you only really have that as an option in addition to finasteride and nizoral, and if you're seeing thinning elsewhere I'd apply it to those areas too not just to the hairline/temple areas.

Oh and you do have a good hairline, just not as good as Ronaldo's. You're also probably worse at football.

Thanks for the response .

Sooo ... I applied the minoxidil tonight to the hairline . It feels very stiff and greasy ... how on earth could I style my hair with this in it every morning ???!
