how to look good with a shaved head?

pending the results of blood work both from my dermatologist and primary care doctors, I have decided to shave my head down to the bare skin.. and this is the haircut I will follow until my doctors are able to determine for sure what is causing my hair loss..

I look halfway decent bald.. im gonna tone up a bit, workout, build some muscle.. so the look goes with the body.. im not scrawny now, I weigh about 200lbs and I'm 6'1.. tho I do need to drop 25lbs of fat and add 50lbs of muscle..

one thing I've noticed is, when you shave your head, your ears can appear to petrude irregularly.. probably because when you have a full head of hair it helps fill the gap between your ears and your skin.. I do not look like dumbo at all but I think I would look a lot better with a minimal otoplasty procedure which I may elect to have done in the future if I am to remain bald from here to my grave..

I do have a few questions for your guys who already do shave your heads or those who have done so in the past..

1) eyebrows

my eyebrows appear thicker/bushier than ever.. I have no beard, mustaches or anything of the like, just a baby face I keep clean.. I'm sure this is why they standout to me.. My hair color is dark brown, and my eyebrow color is virtually the same.. I'm thinking about plucking my eye brows and dying it's color to lighten them up a bit.. i think it would match the skin color better.. what would you guys suggest?

2) ridding of the shineyness on the scalp

when you shave your head, you can see a reflection of light etc that dimly shines off your scalp... what I've done is, after shaving my head, I've applied johnsons baby powder and rubbed it in as best as I could.. I'm assuming the shine is created by oils in the scalp skin that rush to the surface.. the baby powder works but it only lasts so long.. does anyone know if its possible to achieve a very dull scalp appearance so that the skin doesnt reflect light like a glass lake? I think it makes your appearance a hell of a lot better.. but this is just my opinion

3) what is the best razor to use?

for those of you who have shaved your head or seen people with shaved heads, you'll notice a lot of times you can see the outline of where that person still has growing hair and where they do not.. now I'm sure its the color of your hair that defines this area cause the slightest penetration of your growing hair on your scalp and you're sure to notice a difference.. does anyone know what razor I can use daily to ensure my head appears entirely shaved without having that "outline" around the back of my head and top of my head still clearly showing the bald spots? I've used mach3 in the past, it works good but I'm wondering if theres anything better..

any other advice you can give me to looking good with a shaved head I'd appreciate.. thanks much

Ok as far as plucking your eye brows that area should be left to girls. No man should ever touch his eye brows unless they have a ridiculous unibrow (dying them is def out of the question as well).

As far as shaving goes...My buddy uses the HEADBLADE I think it costs around $40 and lasts for about 6 months. Basically you push the blade instead of pulling the blade (like with a normal bic razor) and it provides very good results. Go on google and check that out. Make sure you mosturize your head after you shave and any powder should reduce shine.

As far as losing all that weight and gaining muscle...well you better start juicin because those expectations stated above are highly unrealistic and unattainable within the next 3 years...

You should also tan or try to get a little color because it does make your face appear thinner. A bloated pale bald guy is only fitting for neo nazi conventions lol. Working out is also good but maybe you should go by a reduction of bodyfat instead of gaining/losing weight. Your goal of gaining 50 pounds of muscle is a great feat even with the use of steroids, but good luck anyway.

I appreciate your replies and your suggestions are well noted.

However, as far as plucking eyebrows, yes it is typically is a female thing. Although, some guys have very bushy eyebrows and by toning them down you can obtain a better appearence. Most dont and mine are "moderate" but I believe they're too dark. If I was too lighten them up a bit I just think it would blend better with my skin. I do have a decent tan going for me, just not on the top of my head which will eventually tan so long as I quit wearing a hat.

The ears, yea I agree.. I dont think I need a procedure altho I think it would make me look a liittle better.

And 50lbs of muslce, well maybe that was an exaggaration, but its not "unforseeable" in 3 years.. if you're on a game plan that you follow weekly and with the right diet, it surely can be obtained.. especially in my case.. I'm quite young

thanks guys

What you need to do is....drop the weight period...f*** adding muscle for right now its to hard to drop fat and build muscle mass at the same time.........plus if your that height if you got cut up thats better then being more buff.

After that get a tan...........and for the ear problem ......wear polo shirts the collar on the shirt will take some emphasis off your ears. For the eyebrows..simple....trim them.Btw get body fitting shirts(the ones that are semi-tight) .......that way your body will be more the focal point then your head will be.

If your an early norwood..i would actually suggest you not shave to the skin....shave with a number one or no guard this way......there is still "something going on" up there..but if your really unsatisfied about the look shave it clean.
