As the topic says. I really like having hair but I like having sex more. So what are my options if sexual sides are not acceptable? I'm using minoxidil and nizoral right now.

Pardon my language but.... 2% my ***! And I've used finasterid for 18 months. Even tried cutting the dose down to 0.25mg/day and still got sides.

couldnt agree more. its at best optimistic and at worst just a blatant lie
but perhaps they mean significant sides and a lot of the subjects felt
they werent major enough to report.

On the one hand we have your guesswork, on the other hand we have the data from the clinical trials...

I don't see an incentive to fabricate the results... surely that would expose Merck to lawsuits? Not to mention the immense damage to their corporate reputation and, possibly, future sales.

i wish that table there could be stickied at the top of the propecia forum. gets tiring pointing out the same thing to people again and again.

I like Fluridil.

Tell me more! Cost. What type of results can be expected? Any studys?

IMO you have two main options:

1. Topical 5% spironolactone: due to price considerations I think you should try it first. Can be bought at minoxidil.com or genhair.com. Both sell the same amount for the same price. It's a cream (a bit hard to apply on whole head if your problem is not only temples and hairline), and it's a bit smelly.
2. Fluridil: check eucapil.com, they have a lot of information and they give links to their two official netstores. The german shop has a page with all the research publication. Problems: it's expensive, it decomposes in water (be carefull not to sweat or get wet from rain in first few hours after application, separate a few hours from other products that contain water), it contains 96% alcohol so it might itch your scalp.

What's better: no one knows...

Just started Fluridil because apparently I'm one of those 2% people.
Too early to see if it's keeping the hair, but after a week & a half... I feel great being off finasteride.

The glass ampuoles though... that's some crazy sh*t.

Keep in mind that the members in this forum using finasteride are only a small sample of the millions of men all over the world that use it. If it was giving horrible sides to 10% of its users then I'm sure there would be many more members bitching about their problems.

it depends how they recorded the results i think. if it was just a matter
of the subjects ticking boxes then maybe a lot of them didnt feel their sides were strong enough to give a definite 'yes' . i dont know maybe some were too embarassed to report them as well.

You're saying that they under-reported, but they could just as easily over-reported.

Not really because it would have been more detrimental to the eventual selling of their product.
