Hi everyone I was wondering if after 3 or 4 years of hairloss there's still a chance that all our hair follicles are alive and can be stimulated to produce terminal hair? Thanks!

Even a slick bald area can be reversed. That is fibrosis, the final stage of hairloss. And fibrosis can be reversed with intense anti-fibrosis measures and growth factors. It is very difficult though, and in some situations a hair transplant may be your best option. I don't know if there is a certain time after which a hair follicle is irretrievable though.

Well, i have heard some story about some old man, 73, who has been put on some medications for certain disease, been bald since he was 28, and some ingredient of the medications managed to regrow his hair, and he had his hair restored again. I dont know if its true ... I suppose it could be,

Well, I do not suppose it could be. Once a hair is gone it's gone. Perhaps if he had thin hair but bald equals eternally bald.

The result of this study is that any treatment of AA is recommended to start earlier than 30 months from first signs of AA. This should prevent irreversible collagen changes associated with fibrotic incapsulation of most anagen HF in involved areas, which usually leads to loss of normal blood supply, innervation, and subsequent miniaturization and prevention of hair from normal cycling.

So in theory with the big 3 we can bring back our hair the way they were 30 months ago?

Yes. It's game over once fibrosis sets in - at least with current treatments. I reckon even in the near future, there may be better regrowth/maintenance tools but transforming a fully bald area into normal density will require hair follicle multiplication from the donor area.
