How Many Grafts Would I Need, Which Norwood, Erdogan

How many grafts would I need to fix my hairline? Also in my first pic do I do a reasonable job of covering the damage? I've had a few people claim they don't notice any hairloss but I can't tell if they're bluffing.

Anyone have any idea how much Erdogan might quote? Also how long is his waiting list?

You need to pull your hair back so we can see your hairline. You are about a NW3 so at least 3000 to 3500 grafts or more. Supposedly its around 1000 - 1500 grafts per Norwood level. You have course hair with some wave so you would get great results possibly with less grafts. You still hide it well in the first photo.

Had an absolute monster shed after about a month on the big 3 + lllt, still looks reasonably acceptable when dry but I feel like I've lost 20% of overall density and the hairlines become weak and wispy.

My opinion stands. NW3. However, when you do a comb forward it looks good.

NW3.5 approaching NW4+ diffuse

Erdogan quoted me 3k and I'm at least 1 norwood lower with no diffuse. He uses more grafts than anyone

He would quote you 3.5k-4k I guess

I sent in a thing to Erdogan and got back a suggestion for 3000 - 3200 grafts just a minute ago. Price including PRP was 8000 euro. hopefully the finasteride, minoxidil, lllt and nizoral help with the diffusing.

Apart from the recession and failing hairline it's all diffusing fairly equally, as of yet no patches. Donor area still looks very thick. I'm not sure but I think I'm getting away with the diffusing and recession a bit longer just because of the waviness and coarseness so it's only noticeable when wet or under harsh light. Can see pretty well in that shower pic the general diffusing.

What are the chances of the lipogaine, finasteride, 128 diode laser and nizoral getting back some of the diffusing in the next 6 months?

To be honest I just thought I'd throw the kitchen sink at it, have a vitamin supplement going too. The moneys there so it wasn't really an issue either. Cost about $300 for a hong kong made.

My prediction was almost exact. I have watched his work for years now so I kind of know his mindset. Rahal and Erdogan have similar quotes. I used to speak to Rahal's former rep and he told me high grafts used give that high density look so that is why they do that. Basically they are providing a result that might not need a touch up for a good while since its denser.

The problem is you are only 22, and are getting a large hair transplant already. Did your father lose his hair early, I am surprised the hair transplant doctor agreed to do this procedure. I would think you should wait until your hair stabilizes on medication and then you will know the loss was due to DHT. It is possible you get regrowth of what was lost recently using finasteride.

The whole family are norwood 5s who lost in their 20s. To be honest I just want to fix the entire front third with the 3200 grafts (which is what erdogan usually does with norwood 3s) then continue on the big three and forget about it.

I mean the big 3 are not going to take me back to a norwood 1 or even 2 probably, I still want to go back to a Norwood 1 in the hairline.

You might want to get a blood test to see what your DHT level is. 3200 will add a lot of bulk to the front, I had 3000 done on the front with someone else and it makes a big difference. I would have guessed 2000 for you though, maybe 2500.

I feel extremely stupid for not getting a blood test prior to getting on propecia. Not sure how it isn't mandatory with doctors for a before and after check up. To be honest my whole front is either gone or thinned, even medium transplant density would be thicker, so fixing the entire front third is my plan.
