i have reduced the dosage to 0.25mg to avoid a shed, but how long for the unwanted hair to disappear when you stop the drug? 3 month? thanks
Honestly if the oral minoxidil is helping, you're going to have to choose to be a bald man or a wolfman. There are creams you can use to remove unwanted hair and there are laser treatments or just shaving it. Its a pain in the *** to shave but keeping a full head of hair sounds like a good trade off. I pluck some of the excess hair and it usually stays away for awhile.

i pluck every day, every second at the latest... not much else you can do...

im quite sure that if someone wants to get rid of that excess hair naturally the only way is to quit minoxidil and wait until that excess hair falls out (or luck it all out)...

I think there are creams for removing or at least thinning out some excess hair. One of my friends uses a cream at least on his body and a lot of hair falls out.

bro, my skin is really sensitive, each times i pluck i get acne and acne was one of my worst nightmare while i was a teenager. No iam acne free( accutane) and don't want to get this again. I had an appointment with a laser derm yesterday who told me textobook i wan't a good candidate for laser while on minoxidil... That the hair would regrow again adn again.

The only thing i want to know is what if i drop totally the drug, the hair will fall?

thanks. My main fear is that sometimes those who use it for beard are able to keep their beard after stopping the drug. I really hope that after quitting the drug the unwanted hair all fall because of the noraml hair cycle again

if you quit that it will stop... that is for sure... and the new hair wont be as long, it should go back to how it was before...
quite sure you can also go on topical min, as that doesnt have any effect on body hair...

Body hair is different to head hair. It stays, some of it at least. I used topical min for 3-4 months and peach fuzz became darker. My upper arms have small dark hairs now that have stayed for years afterwards.

Well I didn’t get them but I assume they will. The way I see it is, if you had hairs that were eventually going to darken as you aged naturally(which would happen) minoxidil speeds that up and keeps those. That’s why guys can keep their beards gains after they quit. You wouldn’t have grown hair naturally all over your face so that will fall off.

28 is young. I’m 34 now and hair is developing much more now in the last year. I’m not hairy but I’m certainly not like I was 5 years ago. You will grow body hair naturally in your 30s and 40s.

Sure, but i ask many specialist of electrolysys here in france, and they say that the hair would regrow again and again if it was caued by oral min. Moreover i get thick hair on arms/ legs, etc. But the growth all over is like vellu hair for the moment , so if i pluck tehm it will egrow thicker?
Exactly how many electrolysis doctors have u talked to? I'm 41 now, and I had electrolysis done on my upper cheeks to shape my beard line when I was 32 and the hair never returned. Electrolysis works by destroying the individual hair follicle at the "root" so it is impossible for it to regrow again. I don't see how minoxidil can revive a hair follicle that has been intentionally destroyed at its core of genesis. However, you should know that electrolysis can be painful and costly ($75/Hour) over large areas because you are actually destroying each individual hair at a time. But for small areas like your cheeks it's affordable and permanent.

I know you are really struggling with this hypertrichosis, bro, but my question is "How long for hypertrichosis to appear?" I want the unwanted hair.
