How Long Does Shedding Last On Dutasteride?

I've taken dutasteride consistently for almost 2 years, .05mg per day for diffuse thinning. I also use Nizoral 2% 2/3 times weekly.

My hair has gotten thicker with more color/texture but this latest shedding feels like it has me losing my gains.


I still have miniaturized hairs and I've had shedding phases, am going through one now. Is it normal to experience shedding 2 years into treatment?

Also, if I gently tug at the base of my hair I'll pull out 2-3 or more unhealthy miniaturized hairs. That's been the case throughout the whole time.

Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks guys!

Nobody could honestly answer that question, treatments vary from individual to individual. For some it works, others it doesnt. Other may have it work then stop working.
