How Effective Would The Big 3 Be For Me?

Hello everyone. OK I promise that this is the last thread I will be starting and if people say go on the Big 3 I will start it asap, but first just wanted to get some more opinions.

Basically when my hair is not wet it look OK I guess but has lost density on top a lot, gone wispy and my hairline is see through whether my hair is wet or not.

Now I have attached wet hair pictures and also dry hair pictures. As you can see wet hair is well........ and dry hair looks good but it's wispy in person maybe it doesn't show in the pictures. The thing is I am still a Norwood 1 and I don't want to jeopardize that since I heard that medication can make hair worse? Not sure if that's true though to be honest. Also when my hair becomes oily it looks bad as well. I just want to get my density back and have researched a lot and a lot of people say that they do really well on the Big 3.

So looking at my wet hair and dry hair pictures, should I get on the Big 3 and how long until I see results and what sort of results would I be expecting with my current hair situation?

Thank you all.

If you are dissatisfied you should hop on treatments now as your condition will not improve, it will only degrade. There is a lot of hype about what the big 3 is capable of doing. Mild to modest regrowth is incredibly rare and shouldn't be set to the standard that those on this forum hold it to. The medication is somewhat of a disappointment to hair loss sufferers, but not always as we have some some rare but impressive regrowth photos.

I would also like to clarify that most of the anecdotal evidence on here that treatment makes hair worse is bologna. I almost can't fathom how an anti androgen could make DHT sensitive follicles worse unless it was Telogen Effluvium. Chances are their hair loss was just so aggressive that it beat out finasteride/propecia or the medicine had no effect on them.

You look like a solid Norwood 1.5 to me only because of the very slight recessed upwards "bend" on your hairline. Don't be alarmed, it looks very good still. If you respond to treatments you can expect to see results around the 6 month mark with final results being seen in the 12-18 month ballpark. If I were to bet, I would say TB3 would help you maintain your current hair status for many years with a small chance at improved density.

How do you style your hair the way you do in the first few pics?? If you've lost density then I doubt that hairstyle like that would be possible. Can u educate me on that pls?

Pictures from right now. See how wispy and thin my hair has gone? It doesn't have the same density as before .my hair never moved in the wind because of how thick and full it was but now it easily moves in the wind whereas my sides and back are extremely thick.

Naah..Just assumed. Your hair seems a bit flat which is indicative of lost density. Can you comb it all forward and click a pic??

You probably thought I was Asian because of the thickness ? Of course I will take a picture in a moment. I will also post some pictures if I can find them in my external hard drive from a few years ago and attach them.

Sorry for the delay. OK I have 2 pictures from now combed forward and it looks horrible. I have a few pictures of my hair from 2011 and 2012.

The combed forward lookes fine to me. Can't see any scalp at all. A bit like my combed forward hair tbh and I've been told by my derm that I'm not balding

Hell na man. It looks bad. You can see some scalp. You can definitely see a difference from 2011 and 12 to now. The sides and back are still the same as then but top....... Also I can no longer grow my hair out long anymore.

I've been a lot paranoid lately. You say that you have less density still you can raise your hair up. I'm usually afraid to do so as I'm so paranoid and anxious that unnecessary styling will cause hair damage. Hence I never style my hair,I just let it down in the form of bangs. :(. It's just 2 inches in the pic above but I still keep thinking about hairloss every damn second.

You seem to be diffuse thinning, it's definitely male pattern baldness. The good news is Manchester United fans usually respond well to medication.

Haha knew someone would say something about the poster. That was from 2011 my brother supported Man United but he supports Man City now. Yeh I believe I am diffuse thinning. Would the Big 3 work well for me?

You're still in the early stages of male pattern baldness and given your age you should be able to recover a bit of hair with some luck. Big 3 unfortunately doesn't live up to the hype for most but you have a strong chance of at least maintaining what you got.. And with dry hair nobody would ever know you had some hair loss
