Looking at the picture when im buzzed you can clearly see im thinning and going towards NW4V.

But as you can see at the pictures my hair looks thick when grown out and has no signs on thinning.

How can the difference be so big? one would think the thinning would show all the time?

Your hair looked good, why did you buzz it? It's just the way it is. Before you reach a certain point it's not noticeable until you buzz it.

Mine looks just as diffused as yours when the buzz reaches that length, but no where near as thick looking when yours is grown out... I'm jealous haha.

Doing anything to treat it?

wow that is crazy. Your thinning areas resemble a dumbbell. You have pretty aggressive hairloss yet you have zero hairline recession.

And to answer ur question...that is obviously the best photo possible in your situation. I can see the dark spot at the front where it goes into nomansland and there is no hair to keep up with the rest of your charade. The follicles you do have are strong and thick and given you have your hairline shape in tact and middle scalp it is to be expected you can keep up the appearance of a full head. Given the area between your hairline and crown seems to be much thinner than the hairline and sides one would only expect this to be short lived unless you get on meds asap.

I buzzed it because i had a hair transplant on my hair line. Thats why my hairline is intact.
I tried finastride for 7 months (0.5mg ed from 1mg ed) but quit a couple a weeks ago due to sides (low libido and ED). im planing on trying it agian with 1mg EOD or maybe 0.5mg EOD to see if i can handle that better. Or just let it fall out and have another hair transplant..

maybe try Dustaride..i dont know

Dutasteride is stronger than finasteride, thus more sides

nah f*** it then. Sens i have diffuse patterned alopecia and strong/thick follicles im a good hair transplant-candidate. I will try meds again but i feel quite good about having another hair transplant as an back up. I have a friend with bad DUPA and with a weak donor that went to Dr Koray for a hair transplant and got great results. If thats possible with him and his condition im not worried...

There's just a tiny problem.. your other DHT sensitive follicles will keep continuing the miniaturization process, so without something for maintainance, in a few years after the transplant you will reach the same point. Maybe, the process will even be accelerated because of the shock loss cause by the implanted hairs. You need an anti-androgen, look into RU if you can't handle finasteride sides.

yea you have a point. But as i said before, my friend was almost completely bald,i mean super thin all over before the hair transplant and now he has a good head of hair. a good hair transplant can do wonders and give the impression of a good head of hair even though its not. i mean just look at the results on his website.

https://www.hairtransplantfue.org/a.../results/dr-koray-erdogan-5007-grafts-fue-174

I will look in to RU, do you know where to get it?

diffuse.. my hair (buzzed down to a #3 or less), looks EXACTLY like yours.. But when I grow it longer, not so much..

finasteride should save you for life. (it's doing that for me at least)..

good luck

What dose are you on? any sides?
It worked for my hair, no doubt. got thicker and my temple points started to fill in . but i got low libido and som ED, had to take a break from it. Low libido was the one that stod out the most..

Ffs. You likely have zero male pattern baldness. You take almost any man, buzz his head and take a photo from that angle with some light shining down and on camera it is going to look 'thin' in the middle. Go and see a specialist/derm if you are concerned but realistically it is unlikely that you are thinning. No recession at all and it would look thin grown out if it were thinning.

haha even though i love hearing that i dont think your right.
i have had two hair transplants with a total of 3500 grafts to repair my front hairline. you can see the results of my first hair transplant here http://bellicapelli.forumfree.it/?t=58751998
that was 6 years ago. did another one 8 months ago to lower the hair line a little bit. No question i have male pattern baldness...

Oh ok...i didn't read the rest of the thread...i just know that when shaved down many people's looks very thin on camera. The hairline transplant explains things.

I do have to say though...although your hair looks great, I do think it's crazy that you got your hairline lowered a second time after it was already lowered quite a lot the first time. What will your plan be when you noticeably lose more hair everywhere else? Maybe you have excellent donor hair but FUE does deplete things.

i noticed they picked up my latest hair transplant aswell in that thread, hehe.
Well i do know i wasted alot of grafts on my front and i decided to lower my hairline because i didnt like the way it looked before. I have have a big round forehead and with the hairline placed so high i got a big fivehead. So the plan was to lower the hairline in the future all along.

I have a really good donor and i will go to Dr Koray for my next hair transplant. He is really good at covering diffuse thinners and often managed to extract up to 9000 grafts on patients so that leaves me with a good reserv left for the future. That combined with meds (ether trying finastride again or maybe RU) im hoping i will cope for a long time. Worst case i will shave it all of, i can pull that look of..
