How Bald Am I (Norwood) And Can I Still Try The Big 3?

27 yrs old. I shaved my head after years refusing to take Finasteride scared of the possible sides.
I don't like myself and I can't take it anymore.
When i was NW3 (i think?) i was coping with a good haircut that was covering my bald spots. Even going back to that would be a blessing.

I had a very similar balding pattern.

Did finasteride for 2-3 years and never really saw any results. Maybe slowed things, idk, but it's not like it gave me back my hair.

I ended up getting an under-the-natural-hairline SMP with receded temples and I cannot recommend it enough. Fill in your bald spots with SMP and you would be golden.

I mention that because IMO your 5-o'clock shadow looks really good. If your entire head looked like that it would be a strong haircut and "not bald" look.

Might want to give it a try.

@2mmSMP Looks good bro! What would be an even better idea is to get an all over hair transplant to complete the illusion!

What's great is that there's no "illusion" for diffuse thinners. I (and TC) have enough hair in the area that it feels like hair to the touch.

Buzz every couple days and it's perfect.

Not knocking a transplant necessarily, but that's another level with regards to time commitment, surgery, and cost. With SMP you're done in 10 days / 4 hours in the chair, and fairly cheap.

His hair looks good with a buzz cut. Just needs the spots filled in.

You can still try treatments.

Whatever you choose, I hope it's the best for you.
