Would it be ok to stay on finasteride then or should discontinue it? Thanks guys
If you have a strong family history of balding and have been diagnosed by a hair loss doctor who saw miniaturization then stay on it. But if not discontinue it and re-evaluate every six months.

Hey DH sorry to bother you again but after these last 4 weeks I've noticed an increase in shedding and further recession on my hairline. It's actually happening rapidly. Would it be beneficial to have some blood work done like thyroid, iron, testosterone tested to see if there is more going on? I know finasteride causes shedding and I'm on month 5 now, but it seems to have sped up my recession, and feels like my hair is getting thinner. To be honest, it's bugging the hell out of me. The hair fall is a lot, if I run my hands through my hair I'm guaranteed to get a few strands. In the shower, I can have days where it's 10 or 20 strands which is normal, but the next day ill get 60 or 70 just in the shower alone, plus shedding throughout the day. It seems like my hair is weaker than before starting, basically, I'm asking if I fucked up by taking finasteride too soon and possibly caused it to accelerate. Thanks in advance!

Plus there are times when my scalp will burn and itch like crazy. It's a weird tingling sensation on my scalp. Unfortunately, I can't get to see my dermatologist until June, but I will request my doctor for blood work. Could I have seborrheic dermatitis or some other scalp issue that's causing excess shedding? Sorry, I know you don't have the answers to all of these but I'm just trying to get some perspective, and its much appreciated.

Show me some photos showing it. Get blood work.

I understand, but you have a healthy mature hairline with THICK density. Don't allow yourself to be more stressed than you have to be.
Hey man, I really do appreciate that, ill try to remember not to focus on it. I don't know why my hair feels so important to me...
