If you don't mind the side, whenever it hits you, go for finasteride. Otherwise, you have to put anything on your head and swallow everything to your throat; you need ketoconazole, topical spironolactone, saw palmetto, oil fish, zinc, multivitamins, dermaroller, minoxidil, azaleic acid, and anything taken up from the bottom of the ocean and from the deep of the rain forrest in Asia or South America. You need them all.

Sorry, I was joking. Well, everyone has different opinions. Some will say topical spironolactone is good, but it gave me diffuse thinning; some studies show that ketoconazole is beneficial as part your regimen, but it seems change nothing for me; there's Church of Finasteride that some of this forum members worship, while there's also Anti-Finasteride School of Thought with significant followers. That's the nature of opinion.

However, a guide to male pattern baldness dictate that finasteride and minoxil is your first line treatment. If you don't get the sides, continue. Otherwise, go for alternative and experimental treatment. Yes, alternative and experimental treatment work for some us. You just have to be patient and persistent.

Good luck.
