Alpha-Lipoic-Acid at 200mg and above competes with Biotin (important as we all know in hair health/growth) so whilst some here are supplimenting biotin your ALA will deplete biotin from your body.

no, no you missunderstand, Alpha-Lipoic-Acid is incredibly good for your general health, it is pretty much the world heavy weight champion of antioxidants, but if you are to take it don't forget to suppliment around 2.5mg of biotin for evry 200mg of ALA, on top of any biotin supplimentation you are already taking

some ALA suppliments even come with biotin included (like 'life extension')
