That would be great to see statham as bond.

no, no it wouldnt. james bonds a tired old cliche at the best of times. daniel craig has breathed some new life into it but just...no.

Is that because you think statham is too good for the role or because he is not good enough?

the second option dude come on. jason stathams just a rent a hard man sell out. even if he was good at what he does hes too macho be bond. you need a bit of class, style and elegance. i wouldnt associate any of those traits with jason statham.

i think theyre probably itching to cast a black/ethnic bond by the way....

I think Stathams probably blown his chance of being Bond by playing all those ridiculous 'mockney' roles.

f*** Bond...up the butt with the golden gun. Yeah, Statham's been in some shitty movies and some not so shitty movies, but he has found his niche with flicks like the transporter series (which I personally find more entertaining than bond movies anyway). Statham could kick any of the Bond's asses any day. Besides, Bond relies on all those hokey gadgets (might as well be Inspector Gadget, ha). Now the transporter against Jason Bourne I would like to see. :punk:

All inspired by negative self defeating thoughts, no less.

Transporter better than Bond? Are you serious, transporter is a silly beat em up flick for 11 yr old boys. It could've been done by Van Damme. Bond is one of the biggest movie franchises of all time.

Sorry, I could never get into Bond. They can make a Bond with Downs syndrome for all I care. I love Star Wars though, speaking of eleven year old boys tastes. :$

Statham is one trick pony, ie, cockney hard man... All his roles are the same, he looks the same, acts the same, talks the same.

Sorry had to be said. I don't understand where all the praise for him comes from.

Even though his movies (Save snatch/lock stock) are pretty cookie cutter, i like his acting. He's badass.

I just can't get into Bond movies, even as a kid they bored me, I agree that Statham's movies are pretty o.t.t. in a Van Damme stylee but they are more fun to watch.

Arnie is the same, The running man, its cheesy as fck but i'll still watch it :dunno:

They're pretty retarded for stating THAT as the reason why. Dont nw7's also have hair to leave behind?
Well yes, if they grow it out long enough but that is besides the point. The O.P. was upset that they hired a young actor with a full head of hair to play a role that he thought the main character was bald. I could see how he might get that misconception since you cant really see any shadow on agent 47's head, but like I said before the character does not have male pattern baldness, his head is just bict to the skin. So in this case the O.p. was wrong, but his complaint about not even bald actors get bald roles is pretty justified. Collin Ferrell played a bald (shaved) villain in the Daredevil movie. Jeff Bridged played a bald villain in the Iron Man movie. Johnny Depp played Hunter S. Thomson in Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas (great flick btw). Tom Cruise shaved his head in Minority Report as well as playing a bald man in Born on the Fourth of July and more recently in Tropic Thunder. In Hollywood there aren't any real mainstream bald actors, so it makes sense to cast the big names that everyone knows and do the rest in the makeup department. :dunno:
