Yes, some people are slightly advantaged in life because they:

- Are taller
- Are whiter
- Are more handsome
- Have more hair
- Are naturally more intelligent
- Are born in well-off families
- Have some natural talent
- Are naturally more disciplined (no ADHD)
- More social (no Asperger)

The list is really endless.

Inequality is inherent to the human condition.

A short guy is never going to become a great basket ball player, a bald guy is never going to play the heartthrob in a teen movie, I could never have become a mathematician, etc.

These people are like "hey I can't do this, I'm not strong/intelligent/appreciated enough to make it, so please, just give it to me! Lower the standards to get into the army! Just lower the passing grade because I keep failing, I'm not as naturally gifted as you are when it comes to my intelligence and discipline.

It's not fair! Just give it to me without the abilities and hard word required please!

That's some BS there. We all have the same chances in life, you may have to work harder to compensate for some flaws (like ADHD or Asperger) but in the end, you can make it if you really want to.

What appalled me most about the article is how she wants to impose a blanket ban on an entire race and gender identity. And many academics in the comment section are telling people - 'shut up and listen to what she is saying'. So, she can ask everyone who is not a black woman and a trans person to make way for the undiscovered black female and trans geniuses and by make way, she means GTFO - and if you disagree with her, you are sexist, racist, and transphobic.

Are there even that many black women and trans people in science to make up for everyone else who is not!!

The reason why this hits close to home for me is I graduated from a university 2 years back and in my batch of students, there were plenty of people like her - A female student wanted all male academics to be fired and replaced by female ones because in the past centuries, men have dominated academia. Her idea of equality was revenge. No one dared confront her as our professor urged the rest of us to reflect on her 'provocative' statements.

It's not sarcasm, and I'm happy for Fred. I just find the irony of the situation rather amusing, comparing his old messages with the last messages he wrote it's like comparing two completely different people, contradictions and all. Fascinating.

By the way, I'll never stop writing here, this forum is one of the reasons my depression hasn't worsened into suicidal thoughts yet. A safe haven and a good place where to vent. The only place I can vent.
