Once I achieve an even hairline and am satisfied with the results, I will switch to testosterone gel and also keep progesterone gel to protect the follicles from the effects of DHT. I think my hair should not recede with testosterone, since progesterone will be present in the blood.

Use only bioidentical hormones (17b estradiol, progesterone). Do not use anything that has no affinity for the receptor, but is essentially just a stopper, such as cyproterone acetate or spironolactone, which clog the cell receptor.
