Hi guys, im experiencing major hair loss but just at the top of my head(i think the area is called vartex or smth like that) and i got very depresed. I looked here for someone who is using hairpiece only on that area but i didnt find an article as mostly everyone uses on full head. Can some of u experienced guys tell me if that is a good idea or not(i see some of u guys are very active, you are true heroes to us new members with your dedication ). Im thinking its not doable bc it will be diferent from my own hair since i have medium/light/dark brown hair and also im worried about the tickness diference that may ocur, but maybe im wrong. Tnx

Hello and welcome. Toppers or smaller round hairpiece at the crown are definitely possible. In fact, you can get more realistic look as your front hairline is intact. As for color and density match, an experienced stylist or salon can help you. Do you have access to salons nearby? If so, many offer free consultations, but do remain firm and do not get I to a contract or give deposit just yet, keep researching. Hopefully others here can assist

Hi,

You are NOT doomed! I did the whole process without using a local salon. We have them, but they are expensive and terrible or VERY expensive and terrible.

I can PM you with what I did.

Hi Limonada - what you need is a "crown topper". These are the easiest most undetectable hair systems of all. You just need to get a good colour and texture match, which you do by sending a hair sample from your own hair. Everything else is so easy, because there are no exposed edges - the system just disappears into your growing hair and no one will ever know you are wearing one.

Come back if you need any help.
