I found out that there is no direct correlation between digestive tract and male pattern baldness. But I unhealthy digestive tract can impair liver funtcion.

One important thing that I discovered is that the hormonal profile of men with male pattern baldness is very similar to that of women with PCOS.
Men with androgenetic alopecia have:
- Increased insulin levels
- Lower Sex hormone binding globulin levels
- Increased andrenal activity
- Impaired liver function
- Higher average body mass index
- Increased pitutary activity
- reduced thyroid function
So the insuline resistence is the key factor here. Insulin resistence can impair liver function aswell.

Sex hormone binding globulin is produced by the liver. When liver function is impaired it produces lower sex hormone binding globulin. When lower sex hormone binding globulin levels are produced this leads no increase in serum testosterone and serum estradiol levels. Increased estradiol levels lead to increased fat storage and that's why most men with male pattern baldess are overweight. It's similar to women with PCOS. They also have the same features - insulin resistance, low SHBG, higher body mass index etc. That's why women with pcos have coarser facial and body hair, are overweight and have dificulty losing weight. When there are elevated serum testosterone levels it leads to an increase of DHT = more of thick body hair.
Men with male pattern baldness often have this problem asswell.

Estradiol increases mast cells degranulation and releses inflamatory substances such as PGD2 and histamine.
As I said balness in not a disease itself. It's just a symptom of series of diseases.
I believe that It's not DHT itself that causes hair loss but rather a hormonal imbalance in the scalp between testosterone and estradiol.
I personally know a guys who is underweight(skinny), doesn't have beard and barely any body hair and he is balding at fast rate(Norwood 3 going on 4 at age 20). So what's going on with him. He has low body fat(low estradiol) and low facial and body hair(low testosterone) which both create low levels of testosterone to estradiol ratio.
So if you have both eleveated free testosterone and free estradiol it can create low testosterone to estradiol levels and then it will harm your hair.
So here it is my final conclusion about balding - When bad forward head posture is persistent usually in people who have poor cranofacial development and/or mouth breathing and insulin resistence, or/and digestive issues, obesity, liver or/and thyroid disease, or/and adrenal problems it will cause balding.
That's why people with poor cranofacial development and poor posture sometimes can still have their hair. That's why not every old man who has poor posture has balding. Because they don't have those conditions related to it and have higher testosterone to estradiol levels.
That's why some people don't respond to antiandrogens. Because it'not DHT that causes hair loss. It's just a part of a huge inflammatory cascade. Because their hormones are so messed that DHT reduction only can't help.
And That's why most women don't go bald. Because they rarely have this kind of hormonal imbalance. It's not a coincidence that women with PCOS often go bald and in male pattern. They have elevated testosterone levels and then estradiol and DHT will interact with each other. It's the opposite in them - They have high estradiol levels in the scalp and low testosterone and DHT. The high level of estradiol prevents DHT from exhibiting it's andrognic functions and role in the inflammatory cascade in male pattern baldness. If the estradiol levels of a woman drop for some reason she might experience male pattern balness.
So - when you take finasteride you change your hormonal balance in the scalp. You lower DHT to low enough levels so estradiol and DHT can't interact together. Both hormones in combo cause hair loss not just DHT.
Now I realised that I've never seen anyone who's balding with avergare weight. They are either below the average(less common) or above the average. I can't recall of such a person.
If you still don't believe I bet if you see a random young man with premature baldness he will have very poor posture.
The role of the skin tension in male pattern baldness - it restricts the blood supply to the galea and iduces cytokins which increase androgen metabolism(conversion of testosterone to DHT). So when there is least blood flow - at the temples. Hair falls first. Since the areas are most hypoxic they have most DHT aswell.
I believe the higher the neck tension - the higher final severity of male pattern baldness.
Everyone's head and neck anatomy is different and the final grade is different.
Healthy non balding men have either
- good posture
- Balanced hormones - healthy testosterone to estradiol ratio. The estradiol is too low to exibit it's estrogenic functions. And the testosterone and DHT suppress it.
It;s not a coincidence that male pattern baldness is associated with high blood pressure. Insulin resistance is associated with it.
With the age the prelevance of digestive issues, obesity, poor posure... grows and tha's why balding is more common in older men. 90% of young men are still Norwood 1 despite their high testosterone and DHT levels.
