Did you read any of the links I posted? I did back my claims with research.
My links showed that the FDA has ruled PPG as being safe for human consumption, as a food. In addition, PPG in Rogaine has undergone clinical trials which showed it to not only be safe enough for human use topically with a prescription, but safe enough of a substance to be sold "over the counter" without a prescription.
In addition, this article has a citation from the American Academy of Dermatology that you referred to:
"Minoxidil is an effective treatment for male and female Androgenetic Alopecia and is recommended as first-line treatment by the American Academy of Dermatology guidelines."
