Well I've already posted in the "My Story" section and got some good advice there but I was hoping to expand on it. To paraphrase what I said there, I used minoxidil for a few years to regrow hair on my crown but I eventually began experiencing side effects from it and will no longer use it (terrible dizziness and some palpiations which stopped almost immediately after I stopped taking it). Someone told me to get Nizoral in the earlier section, so I've already ordered that, but what else should I do?
I've lost a decent amount but it still appears fixable, I would guess a Norwood 2 since I still have some in the top/center. My temples have receded a bit and my crown appears to be thinning again but the frontal hairline is the most prominent problem. I really would like to maintain what I have now and worry about regrowth in the future, if at all. So:
1. I'm guessing finasteride is a must if I want to maintain my hair, correct? I am a little wary of the side effects but I might as well try it before I knock it. Can people direct me to a good place to buy it, I've heard on the order of $90 for 100 at 5mg each taht can be cut up.
2. Anything else I can use topically? spironolactone or Copper Peptides? If so, where can these be found for a good price. Tricomin sounds decent but is a little expensive...I would probably get it if people recommend it, though.
3. How about supplements, like vitamins? I see people taking a lot of biotin and green tea extract (not sure what Biotin does but green tea inhibits DHT). I was planning on buying these 2 since they appear to be highly agreed upon. Also shoudl I just get these at the grocery store or do you have to order higher strength ones?
4. Any regimen recommendations are appreciated. I let the hairloss go a little too long without treating it (since quitting minoxidil) and it's becoming more and more obvious, making me more concerned about it. Also I wanted to put pictures on here but they kept coming out bad, I could also use some self photographing advice.
Thanks a lot!
