Hello everyone! Here is my situation.
I had dreadlocks for 4 years, the last year I noticed thinning hair on one side of head as you can see on the photo. Of course I got rid of them and now it's 6 six month without them. However, the status of the scalp has not changed. On the whole head I have dense, curly hair except that one place. Do you think it's Nordwood 2 or a permanent damage from dreadlocks?

Family history: The grandfather from the mother's side was completely bald at 20-30 age. The whole family from mother side has thick curly hair, but all of them has white hair in their 20s, except the mother. From the father's side, including the father, they all have dense hair, no balding. Im 26 years old

Traction alopecia is usually from tight braids, I didn't think dreads pulled that much but could be wrong.

Looks like beginning of MBP to me, finasteride that sh*t

I noticed the beginnings at about 22 but made the mistake of waiting a few years. It's slow enough to sneak up on you, something that's happened to a great many of us hers

Hey man, i started balding at 14 ( 20 now ) and my hair has not changed much in 6 years of loss. Im probably a Norwood 2.5 on the norwood scale ( google it )
It is possible it may be as the poster said above ( traction alopecia ) but for 95% of the male population dealing with hair issues is male pattern baldness.. im gonna give you the best advice you will ever hear.. if you care about your hair then get on finasteride and minoxidil.
