How can i make this look natural or undetectable?

Ok so i finally got the courage to join the forum after reading other people posts for the last few months!!!

I have a skin system with lace front but am having a few problems!!!

Firstly i cant seem to get the hairine undetectable..pic looks better than it is!!

1) seems to be a straight unatural line visible...how can i improve this?

2) front edge of lace or a white line is visible in 30 percent if lighting conditions esp if a shorter person was looking up at me.

3) should i cut the excess lace all the way to upto the hair or leave a couple of mm?

I currently use ghostbond all over...bond lasts 3 weeks with lace hairline needing redoing every 7-10 days.

4) Does anybody have experience with 3mil tape for the hairline? If so is it as good bond as glue? Can i still go swimming? Is it more natural looking?
I always seem to get the glue short or over hairline...im improving but its so fiddly!!

5) where i can see scalp its really shiny like im sweating...is this the glue?

i also seem to have some blond right at the base of the hair but not sure if this is a good thing or bad yet.

I do not have the confidence to wear my hair up in public and its starting to really get me down.

Im spending hours trying different ways that just dont work!!

Really would appreciate any help...

Bro I have started wearing from last 2 months. I tried both thin skin and lace front wigs. I have spent hundreds of hours already but No matter what, its next to impossible the hide hairline. Sometimes i get it right, go to someplace, comr back after hour or two, and check it ij mirror, I find tht it was gone bad already. Only way is to let some hair fall on it to hide it and hope its not s windy day.
I wud suggest you to be open about it. Believe me there are 100 different way to get busted. Strangers wont find it but there is no hiding if you work in a office, where u work 7,8 hours daily even if you have joined a new company where no one knows about your baldness.
By the way, if you dont mind asking are you from Delhi?

Hi Jitu

There are a number of things going on here which need correcting:

- most strikingly, your hairline is in unnatural location. It is very straight, with no hint of recession, but at the same time the whole hairline is receded. It looks like it should be a couple of centimetres lower. The combination of those two things creates an unrealistic look. I think this probably also the origin of the 'shiny scalp' issue - you are seeing the contrast between your shiny scalp skin (which should be covered by hairpiece) and your more Matt forehead skin. This is a fundamental design problem, and you really need a better template design to fix it properly, although depending on what the rest of your hair looks like maybe you could move the piece forward and trim some recession into the hairline for a salvage job.

- the bottom millimetre or so of the hair shafts have been bleached (or perhaps were originally blond and have not been coloured). Bleach/blond knots are a good thing, but too much bleached area has been left here. It will be a fiddly job, but you can correct this. I think this is the white line you can see.

- I can't see any visible lace in the photos, but if you are finding this a problem you can cut it right back to the front hair. You will likely get a bit of fraying over time, but that is acceptable.

- 3 mil tape is very good for hairlines. From a looks perspective it is not quite as good as glue, but it is 90% of the way there. Definitely worth a try if you are struggling with glue.

For the record, I respectfully disagree with Abra - it is possible to get a wholly undetectable hairline if you do it right.

Thanks for taking the time Noah...

When you say recession do you mean more curved? Or uneven pattern?

My own hair sides and back is really fine esp temple points.

I have about 1cm wiggle room to move forward i think so i will def try that.

I thought of trying to dye black right to the bottom of the hair shaft but scared of permanantly dying the lace...

Im determined to get this the best i can then hopefully get good at it.

Yes, I mean more curved, and with the front edge further forward. That would be a very straight hairline contour even for a teenager. You can see, particularly from the lighting on the second photo, where the slightly lined skin of your forehead meets the shiny smooth skin of your scalp. That point is where your hairline should be.

A tip with dyeing is to rub Vaseline onto the base of the system from the underside. That should insulate the knots from the dye. When the dye-job is complete, you can just wash the Vaseline off with hot water.
