Hello everyone,
I'd like to get some advice on the following. I have been doing my research and have been in contact with a hair transplant surgeon for quite a while now and basically as good as ready to go and get a hairtransplant. Nevertheless I'd like to get some advice on the last worry that I have.
I am a 33 year old man and I have received my first hair transplant about 5 years ago at the age of 27. That time I had 1200 grafts transplanted and needed to go for a touch up the year after and had 250 grafts transplanted that time. The overall result was not super succesful but also not that bad either. I think the main reason why I was not able to enjoy the results for long is cause I did not do anything to prevent further hairloss nor was I informed about that either at the clinic. I went for a hair transplant without being well informed and without doing the proper research myself. Since 2017 I have been taking Propecia to prevent further hairloss and so far that is going well for which I am grateful.
Usually I style my hair a bit up and forward which kind of covers the hairline. This is fine but obviously it would be great to have a bit more density at the which would allow me to be more confident about my hairline and would possibly also give me more options to style it and not only that. I think when you decide to get a hair transplant it would also be so nice to really enjoy the results.
Now the only worry I have is that I don't want to waste my donorzone. I have had 1450 grafts transplanted and maybe that is not too many yet and I may just be overthinking it. I am imagining several scenarios but honestly nobody can really predict what will happen.
I am not looking to go aggressive on lowering the hairline. It's mostly the corners where it needs a bit more density. The middle is fine. Then lowering it a tiny bit maybe 0.5cm. Maybe like the line I drew myself. The surgeon adviced around 1500 grafts.
If you guys look at my hairline, which I feel is pretty high, what would your advice be?
Your advice is appreciated.
Thank you all!
