Been on treatment now for several years and my hair seems to feel and look great for 3 weeks then looks weak and frail for about 3 weeks..I do notice that when it looks bad, i get about 10 little hairs with the white bulb in my hands when I apply rogaine..Is this what you call a shed, or is this a normal thing in treating hairloss? Any feedback would be great

Im far from an expert.. but my hair can look good one day, and look pants the next day. My hair is about 2 inches long and I have frontal balding. Alot of it is probably in my head, but also, the hair can kind of "group together" or stick together making it look worse. Also, the way I brush it can make it look so much worse too. Oh, and it looks different in different mirrors! Hairloss sucks balls.

@OP, I cannot give an expert opinion but can give my own experience.

My hair goes through phases where I love it, and other times I feel I want to shave it and wear a wig (ok, not quite that drastic but you know what I mean).

Twice a year I have cycles where I feel my hair is lush and thick, then about three months later I feel that it is always a mess and really hard to get looking the way I like. Then every few weeks I get phases where it always seems lank and thin, while a week later it looks great again.

I have no idea if this is "just me", or whether there is something more scientific afoot, but I can completely relate :)

My cycles are about 4 to 6 weeks as well. The first 20 days after a haircut, I'm usually content with my hair. Then it starts looking lifeless...

When I get to that point I get a haircut... Then the whole cycle starts all over again.

I notice right after a haircut I get some good hair days but once its starts growing in longer it tends to behave worse and right now it feels slightly whispy and thin. I have to get a haircut every 2 weeks because my hair grows fast. Even my nails grow super fast as well.
