You seem pretty down about it. Marriage is not everything it’s cracked up to be. There are more unhappy married men out there than single. How’s your donor? If you can afford it, get a transplant off a top surgeon like Rahal and get your confidence back. You will be a new man!

I don't want to be happy. I want to get married and have children. I want to have a girlfriend to see what that would be like first of all. I don't lack confidence and hair would not bring any back. It would just give me a chance to live a normal life. I know how if I had hair I would be one of the top 10%. Top specialists like those have said that I am not a good candidate for a hair transplant because my donor is average/poor and I have a full NW6 to cover. Many specialists have refused to take me. My only choice would be to take a chance with a Turkish surgeon. It really seems to be that or write the will.

Dude stfu. This is hair loss (to be completely transparent this was taken with oil in my hair, making it look worse). On top of this, I’ve only known about my hair loss for 6 months and immediately got on finasteride, it’s gotten 10x worse ever since.

8 months ago I was dating a 9/10 model tier girl that always complimented my hair. And now this is where I’m at. I’m 22 btw, gtfo and live your life before it gets bad.

Sorry, didn’t answer your question. I went from being confident, funny and outgoing to an agoraphobic alcoholic.

I had a full ride to go to a great university to study finance and had to take a break because of this sh*t. I was f*****g an amazing looking girl. I had a lot of different friends and people in my life. This was less than a year ago and it’s all gone now.

I can’t even concentrate on anything anymore. It’s impossible for me to have a decent conversation unless I’m shitfaced because all I can think about is my hair. It’s like being preoccupied and not being able to be aware of my surroundings 24/7.

Are you afraid of marriage?

Not much to say that hasn't already been said. For me, my hair was basically the only good quality I had since I'm otherwise quite ugly and short. When I started to lose my hair it destroyed my self esteem in ways I didn't imagine were possible. Whereas I used to wake up with perfect hair, I now have to carefully style it daily to mask as much of my baldness as I can. I don't hold my head high when out in public, and I find eye contact with strangers incredibly difficult and always think they're looking at what's left of hair, while I'm always worrying if they can see my Toppik or are otherwise thinking "wtf is up with this dude's hair?"

You're tall though if I remember, so at least if worst comes to worst you won't look like a pathetic beta cuck if you go the "just shave it bro" route.

In asia specially country like India balding guys have almost 0 chance in dating. They are laughed and mocked by the others.Specially young age.hair matters a lot in my country.Somehow want to save my hair atleast maintain.Just 2 years ago had lovely thick hair. Now That I am thinning it has been a problem.flaking hairloss grey hairs have made me self conscious.Ppl do comment how my hair compared to 2 years back looks bad. Also not being able to grow it out

Its hard to be "confident" when you look different than your age group. Does it get better? I think so but in general people get more confident, the older they are. That's why I can't stand statements from 40-year-old sly bald people that tell you: "I'm so confident now at age 40" to a 20-year-old balding guy. The anxious part will never stop unless you fully decide to shave it off or get a hair transplant. Most people will live in the middle ground for years and feel anxious and depressed.

If I had started balding even at 25 rather than 17 it would have made so much difference. I'm way more confident now and at least have the awareness that if I was bald it wouldn't be the end of the world as long as I focused on having a great body, career, social status, charisma, etc. At early ages most guys have none of those things, not only that, but the younger you are with hair loss the more deformed and defective you look simply because of how rare it is. 30 year old guy with a bald head, who's had the time and resources to at least get his general appearance and life together? not bad, typical skinny guy in his late teens/early 20s with a bald head or badly receding hair? looks awful.

Watch out that this does not affect your professional life.
Today, everyone needs information and help from everyone else at work. If you have a tendency to hide yourself, it will be harder to stick out your head and receive information and help. Don’t let it happen.

Yes, I am tall, but I’m a lanky tall. I also have a “cute” type of look to me. The tall thing doesn’t really make me feel that alpha anymore since I’m balding. You guys blow height out of proportion. It honestly goes hair>looks>height.

I can relate to this. Thinking about my hair has caused me to not have my full concentration on things in work. The boss goes over things in the morning and I’m all “yeah ok, sure” and guess what, I forget something. He has said it a few times that I don’t listen to him. Well... I’m either thinking of a certain girl or my hair, lol. I have always said that if I didn’t have the burden of hair issues on my conscience, I could take on the world!

No, I’m a realist.
Here’s where I think you’re wrong though. I just started working with a guy, 28, he’s like 5’7-5’8 and extremely pale (Irish). He’s fully bald. He has a big beard but very light, barely visible eyebrows. And when he takes his hat off I literally don’t see a shade of any Norwood outline. I don’t know if he’s lost every hair on his head or what. Needless to say, he’s fucked up looking.

On the other hand, he’s extremely social and confident. Apparently, according to other people I work with, he gets laid a lot. He’s showed me nudes that he opens on Snapchat and the chicks don’t look bad at all. He called out of work last week because he got drunk at some festival and brought a girl home. This dude is living an awesome life and can easily date one of these girls if he wanted to.

I think it’s our shitty outlook on life that holds us back more than our looks.

You could be right, we are our own worst enemy but that’s just how we are. We know we look better with hair, when we look good we feel good. Anyway back to your pale workmate, he prob doesn’t give a sh*t and for every 100 he asks out, 1 will bang, I have the exact same friend, he calls it a numbers game.

I was actually watching a programme called Dinner Date and 1 girls goes for dinner with 3 guys and picks one at the end.. guess who she picked? Cue ball fireman who played the guitar and cracked a few jokes!

Yeah it’s too bad that I’m not good with rejection. And before this I didn’t really have to deal with rejection much.

I’m going to get a hair piece. f*** it. I know people my age that live a good life with one.

Totally. I was looking back at a picture from me with 21/22 and that's the time when I started to bald and thinning on a hardcore edition.
I would have handled it 5 times better when this process would have been started at 25/26. The progression (I hope) people do in their 20s is very fast. I can't imagine balding at 17. I was so insecure at 17 and visit from the Norwood reaper, would have given me the headshot.

If you are 30, you have at least in some way a career and other parts of your life settled. When you 20 or younger, you have 50 other things to do than googling hair loss and adding Toppik before Dates. Its a joke from God himself.

This. I was just becoming extremely confident in myself and got hit with AGGRESSIVE loss in May. Since then I reverted back to my socially anxious 16 year old self. The speed of my balding is what nailed my coffin. I’m yet to see someone on here lose hair as fast as me, and with very little family history of balding, I really think I have something else going on instead of typical male pattern baldness. Too bad dermatologists don’t know anything about hair loss.
