Girls talking about Jude

So I was on my break at work sat around a table with 4 of my female work colleagues aged 23,28,29 and 34. I was reading the newspaper, an article about the new Sherlock Holmes movie and next to it is a big picture of HairLossTalk.com favourite Jude Law.
Anyway one of the girls sees the pic and says "Who's that guy?" so I tell her and she asks to have a look at the pic so I hand it over and she says "Jude Law eh, I would'nt mind waking up with that".
Then the three other girls also have a look another one agrees with her but one says "no not my type at all".
The first asks why then she replies "he's abit too feminine".
Anyway they continue to scruitinise the pic for a couple of minutes talking about everything from his eyes to the shape of his face, but (and here's the point of the thread) never once did any of them mention his hairloss.

Anyway I just wanted to put that out there for all you NW2 and 3 guys who think that you have a disfigurment. I know that Jude has better looks than the average guy but his hairloss did'nt even seem to register with these girls.

It's true, a lot of guys figure since their nw2/nw3 their automatically not appealing to girls anymore when really nw2 and most often nw3 doesn't even really register with women as balding and even if it does it's not at a level that they would be turned off from it.

I agree. Norwood 2 and Norwood 3 are pretty much considered "normal" in an adult male.

I would think anyone with a perfect Norwood 1 over the age of 30 is in the minority.

Yeah it was closer in length to n2, but it was a very recent pic so it was beyond NW3. Which also just goes to show that shaving it down at the first signs of hairloss is not neccesary and could be a mistake.

I agree, most people dont really think of NW3 as balding, its still just 'mature'. Only when you get a bald patch do people start to think of you as balding.

Kiefer Sutherland is another one ..OK, maybe not the teen girls but lots of women love him and he's a NW3.

I hate to be the party pooper,

but did you consider that these girls may have refrained from mentioning Jude's hair due to your presence?

Even so, I feel the idea that being nw2-3 is percieved as normal and not bald(ing) is more or less true. However, people will still glance up at my head. It happens more and more, I hate it. The person is obvoiusly looking at your hair loss and thinking about it.

Even if women arent against hair loss per se, generally speaking, and in my experience anyway, your attractiveness will still have been brough down, making them less likely to fancy you. Look at that first picture of Jude Law. I bet any money if that was the picture they would have said they didnt like his hairloss.

I dont know how Im going to cope. I dont know how Im ever going to bring any respect back for myself. I hate myself, and what Im becoming.

Firstly I know these girls and the way that they act and I'm completley sure that they did'nt not mention the hair loss because of me. They dont even see me as bald anyway just as having unusual and thin crap looking hair and they know that I would'nt have been offended anyway.

Secondly why are you stressing so much on something that you have'nt yet experienced? You're a young guy in the early stages and with todays treatments your future is rosy compared to the situation I faced.
You're not getting any younger so all you need to worry about is maintaining and by the time you get to your 30's you could be in a much better situation than Jude.

Its not the balding aspect that is the problem. It's more of a case of the way it changes your look that is, for some people this can worsen their look. Having a good set of hair is important to me because I rely heavily on the stereotypical tall,dark and handsome look. TBH before I found HairLossTalk.com, I used to think Jude Law had really good hair :woot: and by that the recession made him look him distinguished (when its grown out and styled that way) - I never did consider him to be bald once, actually up until my own recession started, I thought it was just how people hairs "are". I wouldnt be surprised if this was the case with your co-workers when analysing him. So yes its not a problem providing that it suits you. (just like anything)

Hairloss wouldnt be a deal for me, if I knew that it wouldnt worsen for another 20 years - that paranoia is the killer for most. Hairloss does change your look even if people dont consider you to be balding. These days I have had to grow my hair out longer, and flatten it in parts to disguise my hairline.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe the increase in frequency of people staring at your hairline is merely your increase in looking for people staring at your hairline? People's eyes move nonstop during normal conversation and flicker around all parts of their vision most of the time taking in info that the person isn't even aware of consciously. This is something that happens in many different anxiety related disorders, you end up only looking for cues that other people are judging a characteristic of yours and ignore everything else causing a very slanted viewpoint of how others see or think of you. In all honesty most of the time the only people who really are staring and judging are those who are losing their own hair and are simply comparing battlescars from their own mental war.

I think you guys are forgetting that Jude is extremely good looking and rich.
